I was really hoping to see Yaxel in Orange text .

I'm struggling to understand how he isn't a 1st round draft pick from everything I've seen of him.

Just like last year I’m seeing top Transfer Portal players coming off the board committing to other schools and Illinois as of April 1st has 0 transfer portal commits. Matt Painter and Purdue even had a transfer portal commit

Sandfort feels redundant to Davis to me, I feel like that slot could be better served with a bigger body - maybe a Bidunga type that you could give more spot minutes to bang around a bit to spell the main bigs.

Our first portal commit last year was Davis on 4/1.

Makes a lot of sense for a guy who has spent the entirety of his time since entering the portal trying to troll the program. Really liked him as a player and I don't fault him for transferring, if he's going to get paid better and for someone who will let him play the way he wants to play then good for him, but he could have handled this all way better. Haven't seen anything like this from a player who left since Mark Smith.
