I don’t know what I can and can’t say about the health situation at this point …

What I can say is he’s healthy and ready to play …
TJ had some reoccurring back issues before he transferred here. It's been reported that Fletch helped clean those up and they never returned. I'd sell that for sure if I were Underwood and Fletch...

Guess we're doing these videos again.

The Good
- Major scorer at the high-major level (definitely did not remember UCF was in the Big 12)
- High flying athletic leaper/dunker
- Quite a few steals, looks like a ballhawking 1 on 1 defender

The Bad
- Coming off some concerning injuries for a young athleticism-reliant guy (one can't help but remember the exact same being said of TSJ)
- Transferred from Ball State to UCF and his shooting percentages plummeted (from 45% to 29% from 3)
- Barely averaged an assist per game, negative Ast/TO ratio
Certainly looks like he's worth taking a chance on.

Should Morez commit to Michigan, I fear they’d utilize him as an interior presence almost exclusively. Don’t get me wrong, I won’t be cheering for him. But, I also won’t be hoping to see him fail.

I’d be curious to see his role there especially if Danny Wolf returns for 1 more season. I get the sense there’s empty promises from Michigan here.

Go Illini
If Morez goes to a big ten team, especially Michigan.. I will not be rooting for any type of success for him.. He becomes the "enemy". Him playing 1 year of basketball here doesn't keep him from the traitor tag. Only one that get that is Coleman. All other transfers who left the program after 2 or less years.. Good luck to them, but 100% NO not best wishes.

Apologies for intervening because I have no actual info.

But, I do get the sense Ty is a smart man and a smart player. The fact that he’s even contemplating it shows me that. He’d be a hell of a keep for the Illini in my opinion. And he’d be a hell of an add if he chooses to leave.

I believe we’d be better off with him and what he brings to the table. Very difficult to replicate.

Go Illini
I agree 100%. Very good defensively, great rebounder, great teammate. Knows the system. Sign me up

People liked this post so much the last time I said it, so I'll say it again.

Even if Brad Underwood himself believes and pencils in Ty as a bench player, Ty will be a starter.

In the heat of the moment, the guys who can guard will play.
He was playing out of position much of the season, granted, but is he really that great on defense? His advanced metrics are meh and the eye test wasn't much better in 23-24. I remember opposing guards driving by him a lot.

Sad to see it so empty, but hopefully be updating it soon. This is of course assuming the 3 transfer departures and the 2 NBA departures.

I literally don't care at all if he was one of the best three shooters on a team that shot like trash. That's not a solid endorsement for a guy who was supposed to be a three-ball sharpshooter.

Tomislav Ivisic was also one of the best three percentages on the team at 35.7%, and that is impressive because he's our 7-foot center, not our three specialist.

He seems like a good kid. I am far less convinced he helps this team. He is at best a replacement level guy off the bench (and not the first guy off the bench).
I get why it would be tempting for Underwood to take a flyer on his three point shooting percentage to bounce back over 40% next year.

He was a heavy rotation player on a top 20 team by most computer metrics. He will be a desirable target if he hits the portal.

Is All Wright still in the picture as a backup for Boswell and then take over next year
