Rez's call, but if he does, he's the new Hunter Dickinson and will be treated as such each and every time he steps on the court against the Illini.

Just from what I saw, last season's team had 3.5 starters who were not able to play to play defense as required due to lack of foot speed, and a couple just slow all around where needed. My question is, when looking for portal players, are these shortcomings looked at as a priority to upgrade? I was confident when TSJr. and Ty were determined to stop the other team's perimeter players, but Domask got exposed to many times. And this past season, our perimeter defenders were left at the starting line for entire games as quick guards seemed to be be drooling to get in line to shoot the layup drill. Tomi was effective in defending bigs inside, but drivers seemed to have him shaking his head as they create finishes he just was not quick enough to cover.

I love offensive talent, but starters have to be able to stop offensive talent and that will require an upgrade on foot speed and overall speed that was simply not available from anyone but Boz. Time will answer that question as the roster gets filled, but it is one that must be upgraded if the team is to succeed, especially on the road when shots are not falling. Dix would not be a defensive upgrade as I understand, but a couple of three others being pursued may be able to do that, and I like that.

I was really hoping Morez would leave the conference but it’s looking like that may not happen. Good for him cashing in on an opportunity and I can’t blame him. But I don’t wish him any more success than any other kid that chose to go elsewhere. I don’t think we will but part of me wants to bring someone in to bust his !!! all game long next year. Will be interesting to see a perimeter oriented Morez next year, yeah sure Dusty. lol
In the end, the Illini will just have to deal with playing against him.

Not sure if it's a home/away with Michigan next year, but since they played in Ann Arbor this past year, maybe 'Rez will be coming back to Champaign.

Josh Dix is a really good B10 guard. If you get him, you should be happy. That kind of shooting will carry over. He'd give you what you hoped BH would provide this year. Imagine how sick Iowa fans would be.

It looks like they need to put a couple million off to the side just in case.
Certainly money far better spent for Riley than Dix if possible. Loved watching his confidence, effort, and game grow throughout the year. Brad finally realized he had to be on the floor as much as possible. His growth on defense was amazing and he finally seemed to figured out that finishing with a dunk was more efficient than some of the dingleberry layups he attempted earlier. Sure appreciate and admire the character and effort to win and improve that he showed every game.

Sellers had hand injury in 2023 that may have affected his 3% shooting -- hopefully it was not just moving to a high major.

Looks to me our starting five is trending towards Tommy, Boz, Dix, Sarr, and Sellers (if healthy).

I don't see our other likely transfer gets beating out those guys -- that is a powerful top-15 worthy starting 5
We gonna get 20 rbs a game with that lineup lol

I'm tired of the Dix jokes can we recruit someone named Fartz?
