Love it from a character, defense and junk yard dog stand point. I hope I'm wrong here and he has developed himself a shot. Happy but will be interesting to see how he is used if that shot still isn't at least serviceable.
He's going to play defense, he's going to rebound, he's going to leave skin on the floor, he'll put his foot in any a$$es on our team that need it because he knows what winning takes, he'll be the coaches voice on the floor....... he'll be basically everything we needed this year.

If he developed offense......oh man.

Ty is the toughness, leadership, and everyday guy we needed to lock down. The stars are great and necessary, but you also need guys who know their role and excel at it. I was incredibly bummed when he decided to redshirt last season. I didn't dream of getting him back until very recently because that's just not how things work nowadays. For once, thankfully, things worked out and I could not be more excited. And when all of you are allocating your minutes in these off-season threads, don't skimp on Ty's. He's going to get his.

Who is going to push Morez around though? Tomi is not physical enough and Big Z(if they get him) is even less physical. They need a bruising enforcer type to deal with Morez or else he'll push his weight around easily
Ben Humrichous or Jason Jakstys!

Glad to have Ty back! Missed him this year.

Knowing how hard that kid works, I won't be surprised if his shot improves substantially. Maybe not knocking down threes, but reliable enough from midrange to keep his defender honest.

So is he #3 for today? I think I missed #2 lol.

Ya, that's basically what I said. But he was turning down shots at the rim by the end of the season during his last year playing. To run the offense we have been running, he has to be able to score and ideally at multiple levels. Again, hope he's developed that.

This is excellent news. I love Ty. Was pretty gutted when he redshirted last season as I thought for sure he was gone. He reminds me of Houston's players and that's a good thing. I don't care about any numbers with him, the guy just flat out gets after it....whatever "it" is. Great news!
Exactly Give me 3 Ty Rodgers prototypes and 2 shooters and you will win a lot of games like Houston has recently

This…I feel like BU realized his best leader was on the bench all season and Ty was badly missed for his voice as much as his hustle. A voice on the bench only carries so much weight….we got our Derek Jeter back. Cant wait to have him and Bos out there together especially pressuring the rim. 😎
