Agreed. There were obviously other issues with Ben, but him being forced to play the 4 and even sometimes the 5 just made everything that was already wrong worse. Even if Ty can manage that role better, at 6'6 210, he's not going to be good enough to rely on if he's put into that position consistently. We need that 3rd big who can play some spot minutes most games but can hold his own well enough to be that 2nd big if the need arises. We didn't have that 3rd guy this year and Murphy's Law made us pay for that.

Maybe a big PF transfer can cover it when necessary, maybe a young guy can transfer/commit late from high school and develop into the #2 after the Towers leave, or maybe Jakstys has developed enough that we can use him as that 3rd big this year. Whatever route we go for, we need to have someone in that role on the bench. Guys get hurt, guys get sick, and guys get into foul trouble. We can't take that role for granted this offseason like we did last offseason.

I do remember, sorry, I can't keep up with everyone's humor or everyone's grasp of how things work.

For those on Dame watch, he played 8 min with 2 reb 2 asst and 0 points today ,which is good news. He's had a couple of good games, but not "blowing up on NBA radars" it would seem as his role diminishes again
