Brad continues to crush the portal. Not sure how he does it but he does.

I've been critical of Underwood based on overall performance, staff and player retention, and our defensive scheming and in game adjustments. But I try to give credit when credit is due... Props to Underwood for mending the relationship with Ty- clearly he was able to remedy some of the issues and has built a strong enough relationship with him to retain Ty. From what I've heard (more info as to what led to Ty redshirting), it's really quite impressive that 1) Ty has the character to forgive and move on and stay loyal. 2) Underwood was able to re-recruit Ty and convince him.
Is there ever any thought that this was a legit redshirt for him to get better and Brad was part of the decision on that? Like.....he actually wanted to help Ty? Maybe I missed it, but were there fences to be mended? Forgive ? Forgiving needed for what??

Seems like Ty was in practice everyday, he was a leader on the sidelines every game and he's back with us relatively quickly.

I think Brad knows how to do his job and he's pretty good at it.

He’s fair to players and unless they’re Shaq shooting free throw bozos who think they’re Steph Curry, they usually get along alright here.

Exciting stuff. Dix is a proven shooter that ILL needed.

I guess they are setting their sights on a 4 and a backup PG now?

If these things happen, that's a pretty good roster. It would definitely take the sting off losing Morez.

It makes me think Sarr isn't a likely addition, however.

So where is wide open NIL taking college sports? It seems that every school will continue to up the anti to compete drawing on unlimited alumni resources. Eventually with no limits or rules and free transfers, every year will be a bidding war. Even if they stay at the same school, they would be foolish to not enter the portal just to up the bid. In the absence of any change in the rules, I would predict over 50% of the Div 1 players will enter the portal in 5 years. Wouldn't you?
Hey, we are encouraged to shop our car insurance every year to get a better rate, so why not flip that idea and put your talents out for bid every year.
