The BAM we saw the last few weeks was playing at an all-B1G level, finishing at the rim, hitting 3’s, distributing the ball and defending.
His leadership also grew.
I am excited to see what is possible for him next season. If he is surrounded by actual shooters in addition to Tomi’s pick-and-pop ability, he should be able to really exploit driving lanes given his strength.

Brad did awful in the portal last year. The only valuable player was Boswell. HUGE misses on Booth, Jake and Ben.
That just crap. TRE avg over 10 a game and won games for us. He was our best cutter and was solid. This expectation that transfer should all be TSJ or Domask is just unfair. You likely love having Ty and I do too but Tre is a better player. That's why Ty sat out dude and is likely back this year! Tre stays and Tys gone.

To clarify, while we absolutely will need a PF, I don't think we'd add a backup PG if the 3 "almost booms" Indy just posted and Sarr come to fruition. We'd have a 9 man rotation of
1) Kylan
2) Dix
3) Sarr
4) PF TBD
5) Ivisic
6) Sellers
7) Ty
8) Ivisic
9) Jake
Plus Wagler, Lee and Jakstys to make 12

I think our backup PG would come from a combination of Ty and Sellers bringing the ball up and starting the offense when Kylan is out, or Lee or Wagler getting spot minutes as the 10th man if they are ready. I don't think we'd add a guy just to play those 5-8 min when Kylan is out of the game as a 10th man, nor could we attract someone into that role most likely.
Dix can handle as well. Freshmen Lee also deserves a chance to backup. I see him as a very good player down the road, bend to develop him here.

It bodes well that Riley would even consider coming back.
Riley's 2nd half surge was driving to the hoop and hitting jumpers in the lane. I am not sure he will be able to do that with NBA shot blockers lurking. Riley uses his 6'8" height but does not really elevate when he drives the lane. He did hit a few 3 pointers toward the end of the season but did not really prove he is a true 3 point shooter (32% this season). He does have nice handles, makes good cuts to the lane. It would be scarey to see how much he could improve as #1 option on Illini next year.

Kendall Gill blossomed to AA and lottery pick as SR after Nick left for NBA , Kenny and Lowell graduated

I bet he ends up at USC...which means staying in the conference
season 1 revenge GIF by NBC

No, you just have to speak Gritty, what he means is we can't have everything we want and the insiders will likely be wrong on at least one recruit so "don't get your hopes up"

"Line going dead" means it's been 24 hours since someone has posted that we're in the lead for Sarr
Maybe I missed a post, I dunno.

But there's no reason to have three ball-heavy scoring SG's playing major roles on the same team even if we had the NIL to put that together, which we don't.

"Sarr and Dix are two potential options for one primary scoring role" makes perfect sense in basketball and financial terms.

This roller coaster is always the same, guys. It's running on a track.

Any thoughts on Tomi’s timeline? After he goes through the draft process? After his brother makes a decision?

Sarr doesn't seem like a ball heavy scoring SG. He's a 3 and D guy who can cut off ball and finish in transition. I don't think he's going to be someone like Will you put the ball in his hands and run PnR. He can totally exist in the same type of role as Tre but hopefully more effective.
