How can you be relieved about missing out on a highly efficient 3-level scorer without even knowing what the backup option is?
I liked Dix but 2 million or more seemed crazy and he might still have some of the Iowa stench on him, so I can live without him. Really glad we won't have to see him at Indiana.

How so? I see a highly efficient Big Ten scorer, who shoots the lights out from range but can score at all three levels, and doesn't turn the ball over. What are you seeing in these numbers?
Everything will be just fine, we'll get good players, but lots of people, including us, were willing to pay this guy a lot of money for a reason.
I definitely talked myself into Dix next year, but I think those thinking that price tag is too high don’t understand what kind of numbers are being thrown around.

Well there’s the mystery 4 that’s been hinted at for a while. Could be Quaintance maybe but I’m not sure. Supposedly someone OA has been working on.

How on earth did we get out-bid by Creighton? No offense to them, but if we really want a guy, we shouldn't ever lose them to Creighton.
Admittedly, for what I think Dix was going for, I'd rather spend those resources elsewhere. Way too much money for a guy that is mediocre at defense.

It does overall. I think what is amusing is the reaction by people on here. I didn’t think it was a hatchet job (subtitle of article is a bit sensationalized though) or that Illinois comes off looking particularly bad.
Agree - Lee from Princeton would fit the bill nicely and be another primary ball handler - Kylan, Lee and Sellers would be a great guard rotation
