I'm on the fence about Storr, but if we do end up going that route, I really hope that the rumors of him being at a good price mean that we can then land a true big fish transfer in addition to Storr. I don't want Storr to have to be our alpha next year - it doesn't make sense to me to go hunting in the bargain bin for your alpha if you're a program that has solid NIL resources.
Storr and Ivisic are the "big fish", it is what it is

My honest prediction: it won't take long for the haters here look to look quite foolish, as he prepares to (hopefully) spend his final year in Champaign.
I don't hate AJ storr .. It's just a matter of risk/reward. Clearly if the cost is low you have to consider it because he's already put up production in the big ten already. I don't know his personality or if he is a good locker room guy... I'm just reading the tea leaves and know that he has some issues last season and he always changes teams every year. It's just a risk.... And I'm not buying the it's his last year so he'll turn it all around.... That's rarely how people behave in the real world.

I think BU is in a strong spot regarding Storr. He knows the kid has big NBA talent and just got a big dose of reality last year. If the young man can get focused and take on the TSJ work habits then he has an opportunity to realize his dreams come true. If he chooses to not do it BU way then he will have a front row seat and BU won’t give 2 shi** what he and his mom thinks. His decision.

That's great news, even if a longshot. I'm no draft expert, but Will was coming on so well at the end of the season it's hard for me to imagine him not getting 1st round feedback. Would be amazing to get him back though.
Well he struggled a bit vs Kentucky and the size, strength and NBA type athletes they had. Just one game but Will must get stronger. If he isn't top 25 coming back may make sense.

Perhaps he'll re-gain some success at his next destination, however, we need to have a real thought to the fact that he may just be a guy chasing NIL bag who doesn't have the dawg in him to be a great basketball player. It's a huge red flag that he did so bad at a place like Kansas that before he got there churned out elite team after elite team.

Did he cash in last year, become complacent and just phone it in? Is he still interested in improving his game and getting a bigger payday in the league?

Been hoping a few of those Arkansas guys transfer . Thiero in particular. I personally like that Richmond kid a lot but he did little as freshman. Him and thiero are the types of athletes the Illini desperately need.

Not saying Thiero is the #1 guy I've wanted to see transfer....but he's very close to the top. Dude is an absolute freight train in transition. I'm shocked he's not a football player

👀

I just think if he can get healthy … He’ll kill at the combine and in workouts and be a 1st rounder …
(just a hypothetical) All this talk of "look at the teams in the Final 4, we have no athleticism" ... I'm not sure you can do a whole lot better than a lineup of: Bos, Sarr, Ty, Theiro, Ivisic/Ivisic (you would lack shooting however).

Theiro's a freak.
