Yep, I understand the appeal, but I don’t buy the narrative that you sign him cheap and if he doesn’t buy in, you just bench him or he quits — no harm , no foul. Then you have the “it’s his last year to show NBA” argument. Well, how does he think he can best show the NBA — making sure he gets his points or being a complete player?
I'm with you. The downside of an upset storr could be huge. But I have no idea about his actual personality and temperament since I've never met him.... This is where the coaching staff have to evaluate

C'mon really?!?! 🤣 I get hating Storr based on him doing nothing at Kansas but him and Humrichous aren't in the same stratosphere in ability.

No one on Kansas cared last season. Self included. I don't have ages of their starting lineup this past season but it was like 22-23-24-24-24....it really put a hole in vet teams are better. Was a freaking lifeless group.

Storr can handle the ball and get to the hoop. And get his own shot.

If you get Storr....hes got to be a primary option or his usefulness isn't much. But we have a glaring need for athletes that can get their own shot and get to the rim.
Honestly just think Dickinson was the biggest problem. He was an absolutely atrocious defender and he basically killed any offensive flow.

The dude is the poster child for putting up empty stats.

They had some other issues like Self loving KJ way too much.

Both were great for sure. I was young but I still remember Shidler at UK bombing away from 25 feet out. Marty was superb, a great player. Dan Cross, Steve and Craig Bardo, Mike Duff, Chico Vaughn, Lucas O’Rear, Darius Miles, Doug Collins, Jerry Sloan, Nate Hawthorne. Who am I missing?
Since u invoked the name Darius u have to include Laphonso and Counzo.

Agreed- I got excited about the potential of him last year, he would be the alpha high volume scorer we needed. All of his shooting %’s dropped from the previous year, but he’s still someone you can build an offense around and he can be a good defender at times
Yeah. I think he would legitimately be the best player to enter to portal and I would be thrilled to get a guy like that.

If you happened to pair him with let's say Storr and Sarr you could have a ton athleticism and positional size. Throw in the European 4 and were good to go.

Watched a little bit of big Z today and was at the Illinois-Arkansas game this year. I know Tomi is considered the better player and I believe that’s true. But I think big T benefitted from being in a system that was so much better for him than big Z’s was. I would say big Z is actually a more athletic and offensively savvy player. He’s probably a better shooter too. The thing that makes Tomi so good is his phenomenal decision making ability and passing so we’ll see if big Z can capitalize in the Illini system as well

Boswell, Storr/Ty, Watkins, Riley/Sarr, Ivisic bros.🤞
to further elaborate, actually don't think this should be all that undoable though. you only need watkins, 1/2 of Ty/Storr (already done), and 1/2 of riley/sarr to make this happen. i mean, top 10-15 NIL .... fairly okay sell... pulling in a few guys of that range shouldn't be all that undoable imho.

Watkins is not the #1 guy that I am looking for to enter (he would be #2). When #1 enters (assuming he does), I will let everyone know. The staff is VERY confident they will land this kid if he enters, and it would be a massive addition.

Two brothers playing together who’s played together most their lives??? Dude, they always know where each other will be on the court. And don’t forget the twin thing. It’s real! Supernatural bond that is unexplainable. Can’t wait to see that chemistry AND sibling rivalry for added competition.

Jerry Sloan’s son Brian won a state championship at McLeansboro and played at Indiana.
