Local kid from my residence, been the next coming since an elementary level, didn’t work out at U of M, but was recruited by Howard. Under radar potential back up pg, IMO.

Color me a fan of getting Illinois kids and competing with them.

But I'm also the old fuddy duddy who likes when the Olympics are actually athletes from the country they live and train in.

I can't recall any kid going off in an All-star game format that raised his stock whatsoever - they have 12 players that all need playing time, he'll get maybe 15 minutes of action playing against HS kids. Usually these games are a lot of hero ball and not much defense. I don't think NBA scouts take these game seriously at all. I'm sure scouts go to the practices if they are open and maybe there is some additional exposure there, but I really don't think this will change his trajectory one way or the other. It did obviously upset his Barca team so maybe it speeds up his timeline a bit if he's not going back?

Which is why I can't wait for Mirkovic to score 4 points on 2-6 shooting with 3 rebs in 12 mins so everyone can tell us he's now a proven scrub

These guys are practicing together all week. There will be some dudes turning heads for sure.
