ZERO chance we get Jackson. Illinois is just not that program right now to just go in and steal away big fish.
I have no idea what our chances are to actually get him, but if he really is going to visit, it seems pretty strange to me for him to deliberately waste his time on a visit to a school that’s there’s no chance he would actually go to. To me, a visit would indicate that at least HE thinks there’s some chance that he comes here.

Lets assume we end up landing Sarr and he turns out to be an NBA player (which is what hes projected to do)

That would become BU 5th player since 2021 he has sent to the NBA - Ayo, TSJ, KJ, Riley, Sarr
(I am not including Podz, or any of the G-league players)

Before BU since the 2005 team there has only been 5 players to get NBA minutes - Malcom Hill (24 games, 3 szns), Myke Henry (20 games, 1 szn). Kendrick Nunn(5 yrs), Brandon Paul (64 games/1 szn), and Meyers Leonard (10 yrs)

*Between 2002-2006 Illinois had 9 players make and play in the league*

This is not to mention Kofi being an All-American and would've been a first round pick 10-15 years ago

This is a huge boost for a recruiting standpoint to be able to not just say but show that you know how to develop NBA talent
I had forgotten all about Myke Henry

as a player, i'd look at it a lot like Will if he were to come back - second year guy who can make a major difference, lots of potential.

That was the most impressive film I've seen so far and it was gathered from 6 games.
You need to take into account his gaudy stats in those 6 games came against Eastern Washington, Northern Colorado, Idaho, Bradley, Portland State, and Iowa.

He only scored 9 against Iowa, and for some reason only took 3 shots in 27 mins against Idaho and scored 4. Not sure he's anything to get excited about. I'd rather have Storr if I had to pick between the two.

They are different players. Coward is way more physical and more of a forward while Storr is a wing. Storr is a more explosive athlete but I think Coward is a tougher and more well rounded player.

You can go back to last year at Eastern Washington if you want to see Coward against better competition. He put up 16 and 6 on Ole Miss, 21 and 6 on Cincinnati, and 14 and 5 on Stanford. Those teams weren't the greatest last year but they're power conference teams.

Personally I don't see why you couldn't take both Storr and Coward since Coward can play off ball. Coward has been a stupidly efficient in his career and his ability to score on the perimeter and while posting up makes him the most similar player to Domask that anyone has posted here.

For his career in college, he is shooting 72% from 2, 38.8% from 3, and 83% from the line(nearly 90% his last full season). Plus he's going to do that while being able to guard multiple positions defensively and grab 6 or 7 boards per game. There is a reason Coward has gotten NBA draft hype.

That is indeed "Stupidly efficient."

Yeah I wasn’t even taking those insane numbers into account. His tape was awesome. Smooth stroke, handled it, finished everything, some booty ballin, patient and willing passer with good vision, physical, very impressive defensive clips. Didn’t show any rebounds so defer to the stats there and 7/game at that size is certified windex. Did some stuff that reminded me of Storr but in some ways reminded me of Liddell. And he ain’t 206 lbs; he’s easy 225.
