It's basically an overall estimate of the value a player brings to their team when they're on the court that tries to remove the gaudy numbers aspect, like an advanced +/-. For example, a player might not score, but his teammates might score better when he's on the court, so his offensive BPR increases, causing his BPR to increase. Or a player might have a ton of blocks, but that's because he plays bad defense that allows opponents to get up a lot of shots, so his defensive BPR is lower than you'd expect.
So Bens Bpr is better because he couldn't shoot so others scored more while he was on the court /s...kinda

He's being sold on replacing DGL and having a chance to start if he earns it. They are still going to add two more guys.
As a veteran floor-spacer who can defend, Miller will be a playing time sponge if he comes. He also allows for the search for the capstone on the incoming class to be a bit broader if we miss out on Sarr by occupying that shooting guard niche that we'd otherwise been totally lacking.

Player: < averages double digits pts and 25 mins/game in a major conference >

Loyalty: Hope the guy isn’t expecting to play more than 95 seconds for our juggernaut of a team.
This time last year Tre White was a 50/50 proposition to ever see the floor, whereas Ben Humrichous was an NBA draft prospect (and of course was going to play "booty ball" because his melanin synthesis with Domask).

With love and affection, you guys aren't very good at this.

I have no issue with adding a player. However where this money coming from after all that it will take to keep Boz, Tomi, add Z, Sarr, Ty, Miller, and a few bucks for Jake. The issue is that if Boz, Sarr, and Miller aren't good enough then how much do you think this person will cost and where is this money coming g from? Someone better than Sarr or Boz will cost how much when Sarr is being said to cost 2.5 million plus on top.of what already has been spent. Toppin was 4 mil, who do you want and how much will it cost and where's the money coming from?

Has that unamed portal target hit the portal. If not, any sense if/when he will?

Is this is what the staff is expecting to add (not including Riley):

Sarr
Coward
Miller

Note: not saying this is a disappointment or anything like that...just been a lot of names passed along and I'm just trying to gain a realistic expectation. Assuming I'm not missing names right now I'm thinking:

Starters
Boswell
Coward
Sarr
Murkovic
T. Ivisic

Rotation
Miller
Rodgers
Davis
Z. Ivisic

Reserves
Redd
Jackstys
Lee
Wagler

If I'm Duke, I sent the following 2 emails this morning:

"Mr. Ament, have fun at Kentucky this season"

and

"Hello Mr. Sarr, how does $3M sound?"
Yeah my concern is how are we going to win a bidding war against Duke if they are determined to land Sarr?

I doubt Sarr is still around at the end of May and the longer it takes for us to nail him down the more likely he's not playing here.

Us signing Adam Miller is a sign that all of our original plans have gone to s##t as usual for the transfer portal.

If 3 pt improvement is sustainable he will be in top 6 rotation. He had trouble finishing on drives as freshman. Could be hidden gem in portal. I think there will be competition for him.

Watching the Hoop Summit right now on replay. Add me to the chorus of being very impressed with Mrkovic. Already seems to have some strength and grit to his game. Fletch has to watch him and just salivate at what he could do in the weight room with him.

My 16-year-old son was watching for a few minutes with me at lunch. He looked at the screen, realized that these guys are either a year older than him or basically his age, and just said, "No f***ing way can these guys still be in high school." :D

I live in SEC country so I watched a good amount of Miller that year with LSU. That team was awful, doubt he learned a thing that year. Haven't seen much of him at all out at Arizona State, but let's hope he improved.

It's insane if Duke lands Sarr. That will be a crazy small ball 5 starting lineup. It would be hard for him to stand out on that team though.

After Miller spent two years in the desert at ASU, if he returned to Illinois his redemption could be complete.

And he has no doubt matured as a person, not as negatively influenced by his family members.

After all, ASU is one place they learn the value of ignoring distractions.

Duke has four 5 stars already signed

Cam Boozer - center
Henderson 6-6 sf
Khamenia 6-8 F
Cayden Boozer 6-5 guard

Lot of McDAA competition for playing time. Plus Duke will bring in strong portal class
The disparity in talent between them and everyone else is absurd. Yet Florida just won the Championship with no guys rated top 100 out of HS.
