More than a week of reading through thousands of posts in the Recruiting Threads

@Dan, we should have two threads for Recruiting - one where the insiders only can post, and one where everyone else can provide commentary and gifs . . . .

I REALLY wanted some Peoria toughness on this basketball team... Wouldn't blame him for taking a big cash out but I think in the long run coming home and being apart of something special could be just as beneficial to this young man.
Personally, I would want the Illinois Alum Association to remember me as a pivotal part of that 2020-2021 season and whatever they can do this year...

I don't get why anyone would be surprised... He is really good.

He started every game (when not hurt) for his teams at the high major level. Shot 43% from three on volume last year. (for perspective, Plummer shot 40% in his standout year here) Has always been a shut down defender with strength. Double digit career pts/game guy. Oh, and he will be 24 years old during league play.

All of this was in the SEC, BIG 10 and BIG 12.

I know Brad thinks he might start for us next year if he came here depending on how the dominoes fall.

Bos, Ace, Sarr/Ian, Ty/Mirk/Z depending on matchup and Tomi. That is a top 15 level team based on the 2 year jump transfers normally make and continuity in the system.

He's everything we are looking for with the exception of positional size. You make some great points!

If you would have told me at the beginning of the Transfer Portal opening that Illinois would miss on all its top targets and we would be begging Adam Miller of all people to comeback. I would have said the Transfer Portal was an absolute disaster. What are we even talking about ? People on here talking about Adam Miller like he’s Cooper Flagg . Adam Miller is mediocre at best after being in college for 6 years . Outside of Terrence Shannon Jr and Matthew Mayer . Brad hasn’t done much in the transfer portal

Veteran guards are hot commodities in the portal especially someone of his talent level.

Not sure why anyone would’ve thought he wouldn’t have a large market.

When you say that they missed on top targets I would add that there are always extenuating circumstances that are attached. It is not the fault of the recruiting party that In Dix case he wanted to be near his mother. I understand the frustration but this is far from over. Shannon did not come until the end of April. I believe Mayer was close to the end of May. So I guess the elite 8 team did not have anyone on it that was a win including Domask, Guierrer. Excuse the spelling but I think Brad has done a great job in the portal.

If Miller does not come here, that's his business and I wish him the best. If we don't lock him up, I will not assume that it is the staff's fault. That is a good list of suiters that are interested and some of those teams have a very large pool of NIL to work with. I assume Duke has more money than anyone but I may be wrong.

WANTS to come home and win.

I wouldn't be surprised if he started more games than not next year. Maybe he'll 'Ayo' dudes in practice and remind Brad of the way Illinois basketball acted 5 years ago 🤷‍♂️
