I was one of the people who thought Storr would be a good cheap gamble, with the understanding if he didn't earn his spot he could just sit, but if we're in a position where money is an issue, Ace is a much better fit for the kind of role being envisioned. Storr can be a valuable player, but he can also be negative value. Ace is, at worst, a good defender with a competent 3pt shot. He's either a starter who is in there to defend the perimeter and knock down open looks as a 3rd or 4th option, or he's a bench 3-and-D guy, and he's competent in either role. In a choice between a low-cost gamble and a low-ceiling surefire contributor, for the same price, I think I take the latter.
