If "lust for national championships" isn't Brad's mentality then he shouldn't be the University of Illinois head basketball coach. We watch a bunch of teenagers and young adults who literally can't even legally rent a car put a ball through a hoop, it ain't that deep. Enough with the pearl-clutching.
I believe he’s listed as open and will continue to be until his outside shooting stroke returns to form.

Fair point! Not ideal that only one 3-point volume shooter has shot better than 41% in a season since McCamey. Also, what could have been with Jamar Smith...

He learned some things about himself and how to be effective in this system that I feel could help him make a leap, if only on being consistent.
I was gonna say Storr but he's even lower rated than Miller!!! Pass on both.
Miller comes in at a putrid #686 at Torvik. No thanks - especially if we get into a bidding war for him

I don't trust Brad can help himself and not play him 20+ mins a game. If he can accept some sort of intervention and come to his senses that he's not Domask then fine have him as the 7th or 8th man but Brad sees something in that kid that no one else sees.

Nice cheap shot at a guy who has consistently had accurate information. CoalCity doesn't come to tell all he knows but if you review his past posts it is clear he does, in fact, have more information that most of us do. He does not work from assumptions or rumors. Just might want to consider that before you attack another of the posters who actually has information. He also doesn't owe you any idea where his information comes from BTW.
This! Can we throw all of our money at a top 6 and have a big cut off in terms of talent after that? No need having Carey Booth's riding the pine wasting 1 mill in NIL.
My personal opinion is, if the money spent on him could be used elsewhere to get a better player, we need to cut ties.
He’s probably the 4th option at the 4/5 behind the twins and mirkovic, perhaps even Ty. That probably equates to 15ish mins a game depending on matchup. I don’t see the value there.
If we are going to leave his money on the table, then he’s obviously an asset. Outside of 3 or so games, I don’t think Ben was as awful as we’ve portrayed him. I think the staff whiffed HARD on the eval—lots of talk about him being Marcus Domask-esque impact (even without hindsight) that was a lot to ask, but he was at best our 6th best player last year.
