I also thought that Adam Miller playing college basketball for 6 years was crazy. But it would only tie Tracy Abrams for the feat. Do we have any 7 year players?

Storr was way WAY worse than Miller last year.
This is what I keep saying about Storr. One can argue Self used him badly and that he did fine at Wisconsin. That's not really the issue I have. It's more to do with intangibles. He never passed. He always looked for his own shot (and often failed to create it). He's the classic example of someone who doesn't understand his limitations. Jayhawk fans were sick of him by year's end.

This! Can we throw all of our money at a top 6 and have a big cut off in terms of talent after that? No need having Carey Booth's riding the pine wasting 1 mill in NIL.
Might as well. Lots of walk ons would play better basketball than Booth.

Serious question: Why is Hamer on the staff? Do he and Brad have a prior relationship? Did they vacation at The White Lotus together?

That is, honestly, one of the biggest changes Brad should make this offseason. Illinois needs a defense oriented assistant coach BADLY.

To build the retaining wall ?

Hamer is afraid to get his leggings dirty and his planning skills are atrocious and the wall would fall down within minutes if it ever got completed …

Give me Hum Brick House …
Considering Humbrickhouse built the Great Wall of China last season I’ll take him too

Storr commits to Ole Miss…
Yet another player that apparently we didn't want or was too expensive because he's "not that good" going to a program currently better than ours.

Why are these guys good enough for other programs, but not for us exactly? We can put Ace in this category as well.

I think that it's time that we all come together and agree that our NIL budget has been way overstated. Once we just accept this, the expectations of our targets and what's within our budget will relax people a bit.

These guys have become expensive and we've been priced out of the market. That's ok, let's just own it as fans and understand that this is how we got guys like Ben and Booth. They fit the wallet.

Conversely, let's give credit to our staff for targeting guys early overseas and abroad. That's where our off-season successes have been. That said, Sarr is going to be out of our price point if a reputable program gets involved.

NIL being equal, who would you all rather have next year?
  • AJ Storr
    or
  • Adam Miller
I think it depends on who your other additions are.

If you go out and get the two big adds that Lville has alluded to the Miller might be a better fit as a role player that can spot up.

If you only get one big addition like Sarr then I think you take the gamble on Storr's upside as a guy that we have seen be an all big 10 caliber player.

Basically, I think Storr has way more upside but may not fit as well in a smaller role.
