I wouldn’t think Andrej is too concerned about maximizing his NIL. Probably just wants to win and develop his game.
Any Division 1 player on any team in America or Europe could be here next year. What I've noticed is that if you have a player on your team, the likelihood he will stay is precisely the same as the likelihood he will go elsewhere. There simply are no multiple year players anymore, only players you pay more than Bumf***U decides to pay them. Loyalty is only the name of this message board in 2025, NOT a concept embraced by college athletes.I’m choosing Stojokvic every single time. He’s knows how the college game is played and he’s comfortable with it. Plus, his style of play will fit BU’s system so well with his mixture of Domask and Riley. He’s going to be phenomenal AND he could be here for multiple years.
Michigan is paying Yaxel $4 mill? And probably paying Morez $2 mill? Sounds like we have a money problem this offseason...
Waddell is unbelievably critical of Illinois' offseason so far.. An outside perspective that is obviously removed from our bias..
I agree, he reminds me more of Larry BirdThis board's obsession with comparing every white basketball player to Marcus Domask is funny and charming, but rarely more askew than here.
A more athletic Larry Bird that isI agree, he reminds me more of Larry Bird
Sure, but there are other programs who are just as good offering them more moneyIf that’s true make the sales pitch to Sarr and Stojakovic to each come at $2.75m and be a Final 4 contender.

Dr. Chandra , are you there ?????

Yes Hal , I'm here................what's up ??..........
View attachment 41593
Well Dr. Chandra , I'm worried ................
View attachment 41594
About what , Hal ?
View attachment 41593
I'm worried about the Illini's seemingly lack of success recruiting the Transfer Portal this off season......
View attachment 41594
I understand Hal.....it seems a little underwhelming to me too..............what would you suggest ?
View attachment 41593
I would get rid of that human who wears those hideous white legging's.......embarrassing our brand big time.......
View attachment 41594
wow Hal , you are keeping up with going's on there at the Fighting Illini program , aren't you ?
View attachment 41593
I try too , but reading that Loyalty board really confuses me with all the name calling and doom & gloom attitudes.......
View attachment 41594
Well Hal , maybe you should stop reading it for a while......
View attachment 41593
I can not do that Dr. Chandra.....I might miss the big news coming in the near future.....I'm F5'ing constantly all day long....and I don't want to miss any of pru's news on the NL's.........
View attachment 41594
I don't blame you there....pru's NL's always keep me coming back to that board........just don't get so excited about everything you read there.........remember recruiting is fluid as they always say..........................
View attachment 41595
well Chandra , what's got Hal in a tizzy today ?
well , he's worried about the Illini's recruiting woes , but more important is pru's news on a new NL.......
Well , we are anxious about the new NL also....we really really are.......
Very true. I’ve actually been unbelievably critical of Waddell’s offseason takes so far.If you're searching for it, you can literally find anyone being extremely critical about anything.
Well, if our offense is all about shooting the three…better get as many as possible!People also seem to think we need three more shooting guards for some reason
Would this put the death knell in my years-long PJ Haggerty dream?
would rather allocate that money to TU, he’s at least coached top 15 offenses. perhaps we could just do a BU/TU joint salaryYou forgot Hamer's million dollar raise. Am I doing this right?
I think Andrej could be the stud/playmaker offensive guy.
Id like to see defensive guy next to him. Basically someone that can cover an opposing teams best player and maybe score in transition/knock down an open 3.
Will Riley? Not to be "that guy", but those numbers seem to look pretty familiar to a guy many wanted run out of town. What am I missing?
Was told we have about 5-5.5 left, but that could be expanded depending on a couple of things.
We don't need anyone known for cheap shots and attitude issues.Long, athletic shooter with an alpha mentality is what this team is missing
Any chance this is a reference to Morez?![]()

Notice we're not mentioned at all in this article. That's 24 schools ahead of us in spending so far.

Especially when it’s not their money they’re tossing around!Patience. Some of you guys have none of it.
Agreed 100%. We lack continuity as a program whether it’s player continuity or coaching continuity. (Obviously it’s bothIt ain't complicated, it's continuity. A great coach with a clearly defined system handpicked those guys and has been shaping them within that consistent system and developing them together for years and both he and his donor base have kept faith and believed that they would continue to grow and take steps forward as time went on.
IF you can pick the right players and IF you can keep them together and IF you're a high quality X's and O's coach there's no doubt that you're going to make a great team that will beat up most of the half @ssed AAU rosters out there. But doing those three elements together for a sustained period has become almost impossible, all credit to Painter for pulling it off.
Very true. I’ve actually been unbelievably critical of Waddell’s offseason takes so far.
