I don't know why Dain would want to come here to be a backup, and I don't know why we would want that.

We'd still need a stud/playmaker. Andrej and Ace is a middle of the Big10 team all variables beiing equal.
The exact middle of the Big Ten this season was the roster that the preseason media poll thought was going to finish 2nd in the conference at the beginning of the season (Indiana). On the other hand the rosters that ended taking the #2 and #3 spots in the rankings were predicted to be #9 & #10 (Michigan/Maryland). The league was won by the team projected to finish 5th (MSU), and the team projected by most to win the conference ended up just one win better than us (Purdue).

Just some perspective.

Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!! Scoring 106 when the shots are dropping brings up the average. Our offense is clueless when the 3s aren't going in. "The 3s aren't going in coach, what should we do?" "Shoot more of them............analytics!!!!!"
I think you'll find that most teams tend to shoot better in games they win and shoot worse in games they lose. Not doing a deep dive on it but I'd be surprised if there are many (or any) teams who score more efficiently, or equally efficiently, in their losses as they do in their wins. So if every team has this variable effect where the better games draw up the average, and the worse games draw down the average, doesn't that mean that when you take the averages the 15th best team is still the 15th best team?

maybe they finally found out jacking up 3s aint the answer and is going back to booty ball. thats why hes the 1A target surrounded by plus shooters.
adam miller and monstano are huge adds if they are going for booty ball with spreading out the floor.

I'm kinda scared to say it but the guy Andrej reminds me of is AJ Storr.

Very long, bouncy guard. Three level scorer always hunting his own shot. Smooth athleticism, explodes to the rim on drives. Takes some shots he shouldn't, prone to overdribbling, a bit of a black hole. Not much of a defensive reputation.

I think Stojakovic is a little more athletic (which helps defensively) and his 1.8 APG is double what Storr has ever averaged, but there is some commonality there for sure.

Definitely a more varied player than his dad (at least the later career stand-in-the-corner Peja), but not quite the same lights-out shooter.

Can an insider provide a glimpse into the staff’s ideal plan here?

Tell me if I’m off with this:
Rumored to have ~6mil available to spend.
Andrej ~2.5mil
Adam ~1mil

That leaves ~2.5mil to be spent on someone to fill the other guard spot? Any potential names? Or are they viewing this as Adam and Andrej are two starters and we’re going to role with that?

Storr is way, way more athletic. Not even close.

Can someone explain to me what Purdue has that we don’t? They’re about to be a top 5 team in the country and we’re barely sniffing the top 25.

Be careful, 0440 was doing that and is still out cold laying on the floor.

How many minutes would he play and where? 3-center lineup with Ivisic bros.?
Easy to imagine 1 of 3 bigs could be sick, injured, in foul trouble, tired, so much easier to keep everyone fresh...because good chance one of them will be occurring...

I think the reason Andrej has been so coveted by the staff is because they see a lot of Marcus Domask there... and he is an inch taller, has 3 inches longer wingspan, is a better athlete, and comes from a better conference so it's not quite as much of a step up.

Look at Marcus' trajectory in just a 6 month season, he went from single digit points and 36% shooting against the soft part of the schedule and then averaged 19ppg on near 50% shooting against the toughest part of the schedule after he figured out the step up in competition and fully introduced himself to booty-ball.

Then, on top of that impressive trajectory, when Shannon came back he somehow also became an adept distributor averaging 6 assists over his last 10-12ish games.

The one thing Marcus had that maybe can't be learned is he was actually a tough dude for as preppy-looking as one may find him to be. He would back a guy down, muscle the ball in the basket and then scream YOU CANT FING GUARD ME in their face. If he has some bite like that too, I think he can become Marcus Domask circa Jan-March 2024.... but better 😳😳

(now I made this long post and he will verbal to Louisvillle tomorrow)

Look I love Sarr’s game and I think he will be great next year and a future NBA stud.

HOWEVA, if I had to choose between him and Stojakovic, I’m choosing Stojokvic every single time. He’s knows how the college game is played and he’s comfortable with it. Plus, his style of play will fit BU’s system so well with his mixture of Domask and Riley. He’s going to be phenomenal AND he could be here for multiple years.
