The NIL has brought total chaos to college basketball. Players entering the transfer portal, some putting their toe into the NBA waters to see where their stock is rated. The college athlete now has total control over where they take their game and what it is going to pay them but giving nothing back to the game itself. I am talking about playing 1 year and done. To level the playing field the NCAA must institute a policy that makes the player commit to 2 years at a given college. I think that might relieve some of the chaos. I will say I am not a fan of the Helter skelter the NIL and the Transfer portal has brought to the game. I think it is a big distraction. These athletes are getting a free ride to a college education that is not offered to the non-athlete. The college game has been nothing but an NBA style of ball and money grab. College coaches are literally trying to buy and NCAA championship. The sport has become like everything else in today's world, whoever has the most money wins!
