Also, the respect being given to UNC in this thread is in direct violation of unwritten Loyalty rules.

Do I get a pass though? It was a weak comment; but I at least crapped on Duke and Michigan a little bit?

Well, Duke is close enough that maybe some of the crap spilled onto UNC.

It just doesn’t look promising when he left our beloved university without signing anything or giving a commitment when you’re the leader and everybody says you’re his number one choice leaving without signing says it all

That would be stupid, but at least it would be a reason.

I mentioned it last week, give me 2, 6.3ft p4 studs and 1, 6.6ft. and call it a day. I believe Ty is going to shock quite a few fans and BAM is the man. I am still worried about the 4 and missing a banger that can battle Maryland, Michigan st, and now Michigan.. Sometimes toughness is what wins a game.
Mirkovic is 6’9” 250 pounds, he’s the banger or at least what we’re going with and he does seem like a tough rebounder. I hear you about wanting an athletic/physical PF, but Brad thinks we are set there by all indications

The college game is full of sleaze bags now called “agents”.
No guard rails.

Here's my tongue in cheek guess for the reason for the holdup. His dad is replacing Hamer as a coach, but we need to wait until TA's salary is off the books. And Andrej wants to wait to a do a joint announcement with his dad
I mean that would certainly explain the insiders calmness and be a kick !!! twofer. I mean Peja would probably be a great AC and help us even more w Balkan recruits. I’m gonna salivate about this possibility.

When does TA’s money come off the books?

There’s obviously reason for some anxiety when this much money is involved and agents are running the show.

A hand shake deal isn’t enough to seal it. Other schools haven’t given up. Bidding has approached $3m. Who makes the final call…the player, the dad, or the agent?

On the Illinois side of this, they believe they’ve got him. Still very optimistic. But the devil is in the details. It’s not trending away from Illinois, but they need to finish this up and get a signature.

People call posts from national reporters click bait. It’s not. It’s stuff they’re being fed. Local people have been told something different.

He's a lock
Optomistic but the devil is in the detail
Not as confident as before but we still have a good shot
We didnt want him anyways

The Illinois recruiting grief cycle....
This was solidified during the Weber and Jay Price years

I’m surprised it’s not well over $3m at this point.

This GIF is the polar opposite of the definition of “chilling” lol

Overall...as worried and torn up as most of this board is...

The insiders seem pretty damn calm and confident.

Recruiting is...fluid. Still the wild west, and if for some reason we don't get him. Pick it up and move to the next.

Also...a f*ckin tweet from a media goon who prolly reads this site beforehand with the title in all caps "BREAKING" Illinois lands Stojakovic, all this board will explode...and STILL he and anyone else can backout at any time without any warning. Nothing is for sure until they suit up for the first game.
Lots of fish in the sea. Even if they didn't snag another one or two, I think we will have a competitive and entertaining team to watch.

Andrej's camp was pretty open about wanting a good fit in regards to academics. I don't see UNC fitting with that.
Well now, that depends on whether he wants to go to a real school with real classes and professors like the Beloved, right? Not a paper mill like UNC . . . .

So...basically nothing is decided.

My thought has always been if he left campus without announcing his commitment, we should probably start looking at our next target(s).
