7. He committed before to Truman State and HC Jeff Horner last year. Horner was fired after the season was over. In addition, he improved and became a D1 prospect. He reopened in April..Truman State?? You "doubt" that he'd change his mind? Was he getting a scholarship to play at Truman State...nope.
So maybe he :
1) wants to be at a much better academic school (most likely not going to get paid to play hoops professionally)
2) he is a fan of Illinois basketball and wants to be part of it
3) wants to be a part of B1G / D1 ball, with the chance to participate in the NCAA tourney (if only from the bench)
4) wants to go to bigger school (Truman State only has 3,300 students total) for a better college experience
5) maybe he wants the inside track to a chance (later) to become a D1 scholarship player at Illinois
6) he wants access to some of the top hoops facilities, trainers, coaches in the country to develop his game
There are tons of reasons why he'd "change his mind"
Every Pg turns the ball over at one point or the other…the talk of how "Petrovic won’t turn the ball over since he's 22" is a bit deceiving. if you look at his games, he's extremely prone to 4+ turnover games: https://www.google.com/search?gs_ss...TF-8#sie=t;/m/02vmz5n;3;/m/02p9j18;mt;fp;1;;;
Hopefully better talent around him will do him better, but that was the hope with Kasparas too.

How does any of this tuition conversation have anything to do with basketball recruiting? Might want to think about starting a new thread.My niece is at UIUC right now and she is on the hook for 70,000 a year. That is of course including R&B.

Dayum yes please!Just came across this.... the dude playing with KJ last year that was called to be a 12 year old. Looks like he's 17, but a VG prospect if maybe the staff wants to target.
