Please confirm how many 25-26 roster spots the Illini have now filled. T Ivisic, Z Ivisic, Jakstys, Mirkovic, Humrichous, Davis, Rodgers, Stojakovic, Wagler, Redd, Lee, Boswell, Petrovic, and Fagbemi? 14 players? So, the Illini can fill only one more roster spot? Just checking to be sure....

Rick Pitino getting accused of tampering with Bryce (honorary almost Illini) Hopkins

Not sure how you prove such a thing in today’s landscape

Edit: rumor is someone sent Bryce a custom 40k St. John’s necklace hahaha

i know my comment will sound weird at first but....hoping we come across a surprise opportunity to snag a well-sought transfer that decommits. it happens every year - last year it was riley kugel, jason sanon.

zero clue who potential names could be but just in case something comes up.

No Denzel yet …

He’s heading out to SPIRE to be coached by Boyle … No one has worked this recruitment harder than Geoff … We’re in a great spot …

Being close to home … We will have Giant NIL for him …
This may be the only time that I can provide info on a recruit, let alone a 5⭐. Believe it or not, I fixed his Aunties furnace back in January (during the 2nd Arctic blast). She made it CLEAR that she was related to him. She specifically mentioned GA and the relationship that they've built. I tried prying a little further...to no avail. She made it sound like we were in a REALLY good spot...

The guy in your username feels like a perfect contender.

A real life cost/benefit analysis is in order then. Let us know what you work out and how much you would be donating to the Storr NIL fund.... /s

So there's still a chance? says here its a done deal he's not reclassing.

The kids and their people will tell people they don’t wanna re class but I can tell you for a fact they’ve looked into it and had programs looking into it … Also why fit in a bunch of visits right now if you’re not serious about re-classing … They don’t do a good job of hiding it …

It’s become a credits issue … Still on the table but there’s work to be done academically is the latest I’ve heard …

No good place to put this, so I chose here for a couple of reasons. At Horseshoe Indianapolis race course today in race 8 (5.47 ET approximate post time) there is a 4-year-old gelding running named Illini (#4) for those who like hunch bets. And if you like exotic bets, with the board’s love of cheese you could use Brie’s in Town (#3) too and/or Butch’s Best (#1) in honor of Brandon Lee. No connection to Illini, but I like Corman (#6) in the race.

I am no expert but what you have listed is the same list as the Scholarship Grid that was updated May 8th.
My question is, though, why are there 15 scholarships now? When it was just 12, the players in the rotation at 11 and 12 (and probably 9 and 10 as well) only saw minutes in blowouts against the cupcakes. Then after that, rarely saw any playing time once conference play started. And then would usually transfer out because of that. So, now, Illinois (and other teams as well) will have a minimum of 5 transfers out almost automatically at the end of the year. I just don’t get it. But then what else is new?

Are you insinuating that Illinois has interest?

EDIT: Man loyalty is pretty dead right now if this is getting posted by INDY and after an hour it only has 3 likes.
Maybe people are confused?

There’s always been 15 roster positions — 13 scholarship and two walk-ons. The only change is now the traditional walk-on roles are now eligible to receive a scholarship.

Just because they don’t get much playing time doesn’t mean the bottom five players aren’t important to the team. They serve as competition during practice and for some it serves as time to develop. Many will leave after year or two, but that’s always been the case at that position on the roster.
