RJ was unquestionably their best player. Curbelo was at best our 4th best player that year and that is a huge stretch. No need for revisionist history.

Curbelo had been pretty bad that entire year.

RJ Luis was an all American and the big East player of the year. Luis sat the final 5 minutes but he played 30 in the game he was just 3-17. Still it was only a 2 point game when he was subbed out.

Realistically, Pitino probably messed up and should've brought Luis back around the 3 minute mark if he wanted to give him a breather. It's not like Luis was alone in shooting poorly and other guys were hitting shots(Scott was 1-10, Lefteris was 1-8, and Wilcher was 1-5).
