I would put money down that they tampered with Morez before the season was over.
Without a doubt! Anyone that thinks his circle wouldn't take his money, is crazy...unfortunately, I think MJ will end up being a forgotten name because of the inner circle, not his ability/talent

After seeing this I went to look at our roster on ESPN and this was the amazing result:

🤌10/10, no notes.

Yes, Ty is a guard. No, Ty has not, to this point, shown the ability to run point. His injury does affect our depth at the 2-3 spots, but does not affect our PG depth.
We may have oversigned...let's cut
AJ Redd, Nicole Moretti, Keaton Kutcher, one of the Morez Johnson(dont need both), Cary Booth, Jason Jakstys, Sencire Harris, and DGL.

That fills our 13 scholarship roster. We could be deep...

I feel like the NCAA has given waivers for cases way harder than Dain's. Dain should have been a pretty easy waiver IMO.
I think the problem with Dain's waiver was he redshirted his freshman year and then the transferred mid-season the next year (which is why he only played 3 games). So he'd already burned a redshirt, and then he could have played (no injury) for Baylor, but chose, after 3 games, to go elsewhere, and had to sit out because you can't just transfer mid-season and start playing. I don't even know what the logic for the waiver would be. It's not a hardship wavier based on an injury or something. And you can't just be like "well let's count that as a redshirt year because he barely played" because he already had burned a redshirt year.

I still want Costanza. Cross your fingers. And why would anybody want us to cut Moretti?

I apologize for being off topic, but I just found this and can't contain my excitement! It was poetic justice for scUM to be the final Chief game. I put a white mark where I was sitting. Tears were shed that day...along with some today . I'll just keep it in the packaging...

2026 4 star | 6’8 | Corpus Christi Veterans Memorial HS #4 | 4.068GPA:

6’7. Shoots the cover off the ball. Not super strong or agile. Moves similar to Coleman Hawkins but also, shoots the cover off the ball lol.

Played them the last 2 years. Beat them by about 20 on our home court when he was a sophomore. They were 38-0 and beat us in the regional finals this past year.

you say he “shoots the cover off the ball”. i assume that means he shoots at least 40% from 3 on moderate-high volume? if so, i’m in

I wanna say he was 50% on 200+ attempts when I was looking at their stats…

Edit: 119/253 for 47%. They got blown out in the state semis by the eventual state champion. I don’t think anyone played well, but I don’t think he was anywhere near as efficient as he had been.

They have another dude on their team who is probably a mid major pg with high major athleticism.

I feel a little different. I'd like to see him as a first rounder 2 yrs. from now. Time to get greedy. (for us, not him).

RJ got terrible inexcusable advice.
Just a victim of what afflicted the NCAA as a whole last year- thinking St John's (and its players by extension) were worth a damn. Unfortunately he didn't take anything away from the lesson Arkansas should've taught him.

David Jones issue was that he was a forward that only measured in at 6'3.5 though he put up pretty good stats in the g league.

Luis probably should have got drafted. I'm legitimately baffled by him not getting picked. Yeah the jump shot is a bit of a question mark but he has developed it and the size, rebounding, and defense screams solid role player as a floor.

But yes both would have been better served taking that NIL money.
