Small sample size. Dude had 238 3pt attempts vs only 32 2pt attempts (about 1 per game). Also I'm not sure about the stats in that graphic, sports reference has him at 31.3% on 2s and 42.0% on 3s. Also has different numbers for rebounds and points.

Not big enough to play the 4 in the B1G - same issue with Jones - and isn't going to start over Petrovic/Boswell/Stojakovic

Ty most certainly would’ve started — especially over Mirkovic. Brad loves the experience.
Now… would Ty be on the floor at the end of the game? That depends on a lot of factors that would require great improvement.

Maybe to start the year but if first year players perform they can start. I mean 3 first year guys started a lot of games last year between Will, KJ and Tomi.

Wait, are we really saying Ty was going to be tasked with guarding guys like Yaxel Lendenborg, Tyler Bilodeau, and Trey Kaufman-Renn? I get that he's a good defender but those guys have a lot of size on him and know how to use it. And Brad is known to be a guy that values positional size. I think Ty would've gotten some minutes at the 4 in a small ball lineup but I think he was primarily going to get minutes at the 2-3 spelling Bos and Stoj.

I just realized, 10-15 years ago, this would have bothered me, as it would impact our "Class Rank", but in this era, it really doesn't bother me at all.

On 247 you can see his rating history and he's only ever been rated once in either the composite or their own ratings.
ESPN still has him as the #8 recruit in the country. Rivals has him at #4. On3 has him at #7.
I think he's doing ok.
