What do you think other blue bloods say about us? We have never gotten a guy rated that highly, but I do think that they believe we're a step down.

exactly, that's why the comment was kinda absurd in my opinion.
Honestly I feel like Fears was kind of the exception. A ton of smaller guards that reclass end up struggling a ton especially if they don't have a lot of talent around them.
Money isn’t everything, but it’s really hard to get in the game if you aren’t in the same ballpark.
Dream class would be Mingo, Costanza, either Diane/Ponder

He’s been out with a knee injury for a bit now
Been out most of the season with an injury. He got in the last couple minutes to throw up a couple shots (splashed a 3) so he could be in the books for Peach Jam. He was very happy and emotional.

I don't think Brad would spend the amount of cash it would take to secure all three. It would mean the vast majority of our incoming player resources would be spent on freshman. Brad has said that he believes in "stay(ing) old." I think it's far more likely that we get Costanza because of the favorable position we've established with him, MAYBE Diane, Luigi, or Ponder depending upon the price, and that we focus the rest of our NIL on upper class transfers and retaining our most talented upperclassmen.
Truly would be such a prize to land this kid!
Diane as a 1 year Illini would be massive for the program. super tantlaizing prospect, interested how much our staff prioritizes him.
I definitely want him, but in his highlights he's posting up against much shorter defenders.
