Diane and Jervis are the two most compelling ones for me.
I'd like to share your enthusiasm but in the highlights I've seen he's posting up against much shorter players. Still, I'd love to get him; that body is big and strong for a guy his age.

I hope you're right. The kid's a player, for sure. He seems like the type of player who might thrive at Illinois in Brad Underwood's system/program.

Not ranked very highly, which is fine rankings are not the best indicator, but his offer sheet also is not very impressive. According to 247 and his twitter his best offer by a mile is us, followed by the likes of SLU, SIU, SIUE, Missouri St., UNC Pembroke. It looks like a month ago Iowa was keeping tabs and even had him in for an official visit, and didn't extend an offer? I'm no expert but I would think other power conference programs' recruiters are, so what are they missing here? Just want to be clear I'm not criticizing, I'm just wondering if there is something our staff has identified that others haven't, or whether we're targeting him as more of a project (like Jakstys).

I don't think you have to go very far out on a limb to say any true freshman we target outside the top 30 is probably looking at a bench role, at best.
Sounds like he has been killing it in AAU ball over the last month or so, but I can't imagine his NIL demand is very high at the moment. You are going to need to find value on the margins if you want to have any kind of depth. You can't pay everyone big bucks, and you won't get highly rated players w/o big $$$ promises.
