Is it completely unreasonable to get Tomi back?
Others have mentioned some things that will certainly impact his decision, but I have to think that the potential to spend one last year with his twin brother prior to going their separate ways to different professional teams for the rest of their careers could be a big draw.

Keaton-Similarly, hears his scouting report from the NBA before returning. No other Top 25 program wanted you out of HS. THEN, they start you as a freshmen and you are a key piece of a F4 hopeful team?
You'd have to outbid Illinois by a bunch IMO.

Haven't seen him on one reputable first round projection. Honestly may not even be the best player on the team with being hurt and Boswell's emergence.

We got Ayo, Terrence, Coleman all back from the exact situation.

I question why we see it set in stone for him to be gone (unless it was some done deal coming into the year).

That's fair, but to the other guy's point, just about every other mock draft has him 2nd round, some of them not until the end of the 2nd round. NBA Draft Room does a decent job with mock drafts generally, but at this point seems to be an outlier on Tomi (admittedly so - he's got him #12 on his Big Board and admits that he's higher on him than others are - https://nbadraftroom.com/2026-nba-draft-big-board-1-0/). I think it's reasonable to pump the brakes on him being gone after this year.

His point was he hasn’t seen him in the first round on even one mock draft.

I replied with one mock draft.

You honestly think that the first sentence of that post was the main point he was making, rather than all the stuff that came after?

Of course it wasn't. You just found the one nit you could most easily pick and ignored the rest.

Good lord dude...I honestly think I posted a snarky reply to his claim.

You gonna be ok? I know it's hard for the juiceman argueth to let it go.

But let me help.

Bye!

Sparty get another 5* prep pushes them to #1 26 class .....lottta money to tie up in freshman that will demand immediate playing time be interesting how that works out for them.

Lol man, I just responded to your post with what I thought was a thoughtful-ish post that actually addressed the dude's point, without criticizing you AT ALL, and you had to respond to defend your earlier attack on the dude. It's really funny that your whole thing is nitpicking people's posts to stir the pot, and then you respond like this when anyone pushes back even a little tiny bit.

Here I go playing boxing ref again, even though nobody asked me to. After a thorough assessment, my ruling is:

And…

You’re both wrong.

But, it doesn’t really matter because this is just a case of semantics and not worth discussing any further. Amirite?

Is Tomi on the Nikola Vučević trajectory? They seem like very similar players.

I'd wager that it would be Petro or Lee who leaves should any of those 4.

Andrej-You nailed it getting the junior year version. He will either test NBA draft waters or come back for a year 2 bump. Too risky to transfer again IMO especially when Brad's track record with year 2 transfers.. ELITE

Petro could go back overseas, or take a bigger bag/ high usage role that better showcases what he feels his game should be. How happy will he be once healthy coming off the bench? Idk but someone will try and get in his ear and promise the moon.

Lee-I love his game.
Though how happy will he be if he can't break into a very talented rotation for more than 5-10 minutes a game.
He was a prolific scorer in HS/AAU.

None of the reasons Petro or Lee could leave are a personal shot towards those fine young men. It's just a reality of our sport now
I could see ptro taking over Boswell spot even if he is smaller and I assume not as good defensively but if hes as good as advertised offensively I could see him being a starter next year

Brad pivoting away from the Fire/Irvin’s at the exact right time may be one of the least talked about right moves he’s made and damn was he right …
Has NIL disrupted the high school environment much? Meaning, do AAU coaches and other middlemen type figures carry the same weight as pre-NIL, or has the impact of open negotiations hampered their overall utility to kids making these decisions?

Staff thinks they got one in Brown
We need to realize that this is unlikely. Next year has the potential to be as good, if not better than this team and minutes will be difficult to come by. Reminds me of a few years ago when every player we heard of - mostly Ben - we compared to Domask.

Every year there's about a handful of freshman as good as Wagler while being ranked that low. 95% of the time that's a developmental add and not immediate impact. Setting that as the bar for each three star we land is just not a fair assessment for the kid.

The post above may get some pushback, but I'd honestly agree. It's extremely rare a guy in the 150-ish ranks has been a starter/9-10ppg guy for a good Illinois team like Wagler (as a frosh).

If Brown comes in and is a quality 8th or 9th man, with good spot minutes when caled upon, that's 100% fine.

So you think the staff is wrong?
