I agree with your comments. Underwood is getting carried away especially with guys who can't play defense but with this team they should play zone majority of the time. You can't win with a bunch of Europeans on your team. Gonzaga, Arizona and St.Marys have all tried this model and they have NO NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS!!

Shot reminds me a bit of Malcom Hill's with less of a fadeaway. All things considered, he gets off screens really well as a dribbler and can get to the rim. Was pretty impressed with some of his back cuts too though this is a highlight tape. I'd like to see some defensive possessions because that's what I'm more concerned about with all of our Balkans right now.

Is this Ty Rodgers' fill in spot replacement? This kind of cements the writing on the wall that he most likely won't be a factor for this entire season.

Did assistant coach Tim Anderson leaving affect Morez leaving? If Anderson stayed would Morez still be at Illinois? Just wondering....

Morez wasn't kicked off the team. He's a guy the fans and the staff wanted on this year's team. You just can't force a guy to stay. And the staff did a pretty good job of pivoting after a not-ideal situation.

I said unpopular because there were several people saying they were done with him when he left the program.

I also didn’t say they didn’t try to get him to stay or kick him off the team so I’m not sure why you’re telling me the history of the situation I already know.

One could argue that they didn’t pivot that well if they didn’t add anyone similar to him. Our main needs right now are a big that can play defense and rebound. Which was my point and the point of the post I was responding to.

Are you claiming the money spent on Big Z, Mirkovic + Petrovic is less than what Michigan spent on Morez?

Because if it’s not, Illinois could have flat out spent more to retain Morez. And they 100% should have. This was bad GM’ing.
