I know its early, but one guy I'd potentially keep an eye on:

Jasper Johnson visited during his HS recruitment. It was said he was skeptical of Pope and KY throughout prior to committing and so far, team has looked like a train wreck for the bulk of the past month.

actually though about him recently and how he basically stated that he never really considered Illinois... just went on a visit.

I was in school when both Dave Scholz and Donny Freeman played...and played pick-up with Downey at Huff. Freeman was maybe 6'3" and Downey was 6'4". Scholz as 6'7"-6'8". It was a different game then. Great Illini players, but not NBA (except Thoren.)

I loved those teams back then... Especially Les Busboom and Preston (the head) Pearson! Most guards were 5'10"-6'1", forwards were 6'2"-6'6", centers 6'7" - 7'1" (Kareem.)
Even the Flyin' Illini ('78, ) tallest starter was 6'7".

Think Tucker DeVries situation last year … That’s just what I’ve heard at least …

Doc says hey it’s probably a month or two … Now his camp decides to shut him down for the year and have surgery instead …

Collect the full NIL … Get a medical redshirt … And now he’s going to get another year on the open market to get another huge pay day …
