Davis isn't an option. Illinois is not recruiting him hard at all. He will play in the BIG10 though. Davis and Jaylan Mitchell both highly regarded at an earlier age won't be in an Illini uniform. Mitchell reminds me of James Brown who was highly regarded in his early high school years but regressed and is a total bust at North Carolina.

I feel like Illinois could land all of these guys if they want. Though we are gonna need some space for Euros and maybe some big swings in '27 like that top 5 PG who we just offered.
These young men have only seen Illinois rolling the last 6 years. Who doesn't want to play on a top offense and shoot a bunch of 3s?
Probably way to early for this conversation but what is retention looking like for next year? Wish list is Dre, Twins, Jake, Lee, and Mirk.

Not sure if Davis and/or Kelly were in the locker room after the game, but BU referenced some of the future Illini in the room when he talked about the former players returning and Illinois being home. That could have had the same impact as the actual game.
