His rebounding suggests knee issues. He doesn’t go up with two hands because he is now relying on one of his arms to do what his legs are supposed to do - keep the opposing player from displacing you. He can’t hold his ground anymore with his lower half. Totally throwing off his shot in both lift and getting to a spot in the pick and pop.
I get the feeling he’s dealing with injuries as well.

I don't see either of them costing "a ton of money"

One is a 4 star freshman and the other is unlikely to even be in the top 10-20 xfers
Vaaks is being floated as top 10 likely best transfers this off-season. These things are incredibly hard to pinpoint since we can't be sure who all will be in...

I think you are right in calling him 10-20 range. But how much value will teams see in possible multiple years AND being eligible to transfer to schools like a Michigan etc that can only facilitate grad transfers and freshmen (think it's up to an amount of credits but you get the gist).

Interesting, just rewatched the whole vid and not sure I saw one carry... at least not egregious enough to be called... that's one they mostly let go anyway, just ask Nick Boyd, ha

This is mid-dribble on like the 3rd bounce. Just one example & something that caught my eye. And you are 100% right...I bet I didn't see 3 of those called all year. If they did, Boyd woulda been cooked.

Sean Miller 👀👀
Schools like Indiana, Texas, etc that got new coaches last year have included in that # the buyouts it took to bring in the new hire. What they paid WVU or Xavier for instance and all the staff buyouts etc.

**Edit** and the coaches they fired had buyouts.

Certainly shows it's "cheaper to keep---errr him". I saw this and thought the same but Ant Wright broke it down.

Not that I wouldn't be upset in any of those situations even with that included...

Then it’s a historically poor transfer class imo

A 6-7 wing who is neither a plus athlete or defender, was shooting under 40% overall and 33% from three (2% points less than Ben H) prior to the last couple games he’s played well in (and I’m not paying him for 2 games)

Will see where he gets ranked but that’s my evaluation at the moment

And they don’t call that when you’re 35 feet from the basket and not gaining an advantage by doing it

All them players you mentioned wasn't needed by Illinois. Most of them played on subpar or terrible teams. Creighton paid Dix all that money and his numbers were worst this year than his time with Iowa last year. None of those players made their team better this year. Gonzaga was good be good with Miller or not. Illinois problem was Ty got hurt and Tomi and Boswell have been inconsistent and not that good this year and Illinois still won 24 games in the regular season

Who is getting all that money at MSU?

It's a pretty nice staff.

Doug Wojick has time at UNC and Gonzaga and was a former head coach
Saddi Washington was at Michigan for a little under a decade

Given Denham's performance this year, i wonder how fondly this board would look at handing our assistant coach's son a rotation spot he didn't deserve.

I love how people on here will find a way to argue about anything. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

The entire point of this place is for people to discuss various aspects of Illini basketball

Not every thread will have unanimous agreement on any single thing, so if you are fundamentally unable to handle someone disagreeing with you, I don't really know what to tell you

EDIT: I even agreed it was a carry, I just said those don't get called

2 "all big ten level" players are not easy to land. EVERYONE would love to land that
Yep, Michigan landed Rez, all defense Mara, player of the year Yaxel, and an all freshman guard. So it can be done and tem some. Weve done it woth Domask, TSJ and others too. If you have the cash it can and has been done.

You just proved his point. Not everything needs to be an argument...it gets tiresome.

Oh come on lol I barely even disagreed with the guy, we can’t be this sensitive
Sensitive??? Dude are you for real?? I was referring to the majority of your other comments that I have actually read ( I'm not on here all day/everyday) These boards, for the most part, are respectful conversations. Hope it continues. Get out and enjoy the day!

So you’re just making a generalized complaint about me? I’m sorry if I’ve offended you.
