If he stays in college, he'll get insane money. I don't see us going down that path, especially if the goal is to bring 3/4 of our roster back. Not sure where he falls in the NBA pecking order, but I'd assume he'd kick those tires too.

Imagine how much worse off the program would be if Storr had lived up to his end of the supposed deal he had with us.

It's not just that we've tapped out of the bidding on this kind of player, tapping out on the bidding on this kind of player has been the foundation of our success.

Not to denigrate Blackwell who is a really good player and probably a better fit than Storr was, but I don't see it for various reasons, among them it being very hard to see him and Stojakovic on the same team.

History? It's only been around a few years, and in none of those years had we just blown a game to go to the championship. Come on Mr Brightside, let's go get whoever we think will finish the job!!!!!

As with previous years, I will attempt to keep the list updated with names that get posted here by those with some inside info (as well as links from outside) of names that are linked with us or that we should be paying attention to. Names in orange are those that seem to be higher priority or higher interest targets. Names in dark blue we will have some interest or links in but may not be a top or priority target for us. Light blue names will be if a tweet has linked us with a portal recruit but it has not been corroborated by our ITKs.

I'll also continue to work with @Indy Illini Fan (as much as he chooses/is able to share) on an internal Crystal Ball. Indy's Crystal Ball has come in at about an 85% accuracy rate over the past few seasons by the time the player commits.

I'm only including names of people that are officially in the portal (using 247's Portal List as my reference). Some names may get discussed or brought up here that don't show up yet.

I have another tab with the classic Scholarship Grid format so we have an idea of roster construction. I have assumed Keaton is gone in addition to our 3 seniors so far, but won't make any other changes until we get the official word of a departure.

If someone has information to correct anything, I'm appreciative of the corrections. If anyone has any suggestions, feel free to DM or reply.

I'll try and post occasionally throughout the week with the updated link to the sheet, and the link will also live in my signature. Happy portal season! ILL

Why? It’s not like there’s some pact between BIG10 coaches. If talent wants to come here; frankly, who cares where they are from.

I thought this until Morez (likely) wins a national championship with a conference foe. Screw the rest of them. They all pray on our downfall anyway

Exactly. At this point, there is only 1 mission to accomplish for this program. And that's to cut down the nets. I could give a rats a$$ if we steal 12 players from other BIG teams to make it happen or not. Follow the rules as laid out (if there are any at this point). Other than that, no holds barred, no excuses, no self imposed preferences. Recruit a roster capable of winning the whole thing. Period. End of story.

As an expert armchair coach who thinks this is still probably too expensive and has no idea what he is talking about......

Keep our crew. Give me Harris and Avdalas. Gives us 3 guards starting but at 6'7", 6'7", 6'9", to go with mirk and ivisic. Have 4 guys with experience bringing the ball up. Still one of the tallest teams. Add a monster D guy and or dead on shooter and call it a day. Michigan showed the blueprint. No need to re-create the wheel. Better jump on it before rosters hit 50 million in a few years and we are priced out.
