Not exactly sure how accurate, but:

Why wouldn't it be accurate? Every one of our guys will have people contacting them with offers. Then we'll have to decide if we want to beat/match their offers. It's going to happen to every guy and chances are high that we'll lose some.

I just hope it's not Mirk, but he's the one that will be getting the crazy offers.

Jake Davis leaving would be the most baffling transfer decision since Miller left.

Doesn't seem like the type to get a major bag anywhere, Brad loves him, and he started on a final four team.

I get his role is likely reduced this coming year but I can't imagine anyone is offering him a role outside of bench spot up shooter.

Misko will keep his boys on lock!!! But Jake D is only 49% Balkan and people will use him to get Misko ear....I imagine

Remember Jacob Grandison? Guys may have more value than it may appear.

Actually, thinking about who might have a draw to Davis specifically, perish the thought but is Luke Goode the actual comp here?

Feel like we’re sleeping on Morillo a bit… kid is a stud and measured in at 6’7 210lb today 👀
100%. Everyone saying QC is already a starter are crazy. We have the entire portal to go through for heavy hitters and then if we don’t bring in a veteran then he has to beat out Jake Davis and Morillo,

oh yeah...Linda Carter had those perfect.....blue eyes. 🤣
Chappelle old bit-

Speaking of LAD, are deferred payment in NIL a thing?

Our offensive style really went away from getting Jake decent looks in the tournament. We started going to the basket and his role offensively diminished.

I'd hate to lose him. He's an all out effort guy who I think gives the team a bit of an edge. He was supposed to be a back of the rotation guy this year and ended up starting. He's not the guy, but he's the guy you need to be a contender.

Part of Andrej coming back will definitely be that he will want the ball in his hands more as an initiator. That’s his path to the NBA

Not sure I understand the concern here. With any combination of players, Andre will touch the ball a lot. With our offense (assuming the entire scheme isn't swapped for something else), he will have plenty of opportunity to drive, shoot or (hopefully) pass and set up teammates. If Andre wants to be seen more favorably in the eyes of scouts, he can (a) continue his defensive trajectory, (b) make plays for others more often, and (c) develop his outside shot. None of those three is significantly hampered by having Blackwell on the floor, and could be helped by having defenses not be able to sag onto him when he drives. The main danger I see is if Andre sees Blackwell scoring and decides he needs to keep up or outshine his own teammate. That would be a terrible look, and I think would hurt his draft stock far more than anything else.

His role is likely what it was this year. Maybe a few more minutes to replace Humrichous minutes.

He’s a floor spacer and glue guy who takes care of the ball. But he’s not going to be a statistical leader.

Agree to disagree, top 5 defender in conference as selected by coaches and select media, so argue with them I guess

You are always full of hot takes, unable to take it seriously at times to be quite honest
You don't even realize how absurd it is for you, of all people, to call out Indy as someone hard to take seriously, do you?

Boswell was a good defender ??? News to me …

We were getting TORCHED by guards nearly all season long …
Boswell was never the one consistently getting torched, it was Humrichous and Davis getting into switches who got torched. Think the game where Boyd cooked us in the big ten tournament he got bogus foul trouble.

On a good/great team he’ll need to learn to be a facilitator more if he wants to play in the league.

That or become a better jump shooter.

I feel like we are all ignoring the elephant in the room with Andrej....
Really needs to address that mid-part.
Might i suggest a hairstyle:

He's a medium volume 41% 3pt shooter with a quick release. Rated #1 in the nation in offensive efficiency at 1.466ppp though on only 10.8% usage. And he's 4th in the nation in turnover percent and he has pretty solid offensive rebounding numbers for a shooting guard. There is absolutely no question he should be getting offers. Question is whether we'll be willing to match and if he wants to stay here, as I'd almost assume he will be offered more elsewhere.

He’s not saying that Kylan was never a good defender. What he’s saying is that against weaker competition, Kylan was solid defensively—but against stronger competition, he struggled and was not an effective defender.
UCLA:
Donovan Dent had 15 assists with zero turnovers. If Kylan were truly a strong defender, you’d expect at least one forced turnover or some disruption. Instead, we gave up 95 points.
Michigan:
They had Kylan guarding Yaxel, which was clearly a mismatch, and Yaxel still dropped 16 points. We gave up 84 points in that game.
Oregon:
Arguably the worst team in the Big Ten, which actually supports Indy’s point—against bad teams, Kylan looked like a good defender.
Maryland:
Andre Mills scored 30, Darius Adams had 14, and David Colt added 10. We won by six against a bottom‑of‑the‑barrel team (and I’d still argue Oregon was worse), but Kylan guarded all of them at different points and got consistently torched.
Wisconsin (Big Ten Tournament):
Do we even need to discuss that one?

That’s really all @Indy Illini Fan was trying to say. Yes, against weaker competition, he looked like a First Team All‑Big Ten defender. But when it mattered most—against the better teams—his defense was not nearly as effective.
I mean you’re citing the Wisconsin and UCLA games where he was still just coming off a wrist injury and got concussed for UCLA, and Wisconsin he played like 9 minutes cuz of bogus foul trouble. Boyd cooked everyone but Boswell that game. The Maryland game is the only one I would say Boswell let us down. Michigan against Yaxel he was fine not great.
