I could tell that by the insider posting after his decision. It was like the staff was saving money for KW.The timing of Wagler’s decision was not by accident.
Big 2-3 days ahead.
This would be a great pickup. As others have alluded to, there is some KJ in his game.
Andrej will be very good defensively next year.Offensively, Vaaks feels like a shoe-in. Arguably gives us better passing out of PnR sets with our bigs than we had with Wagler. 35% three point shooting on high volume should translate as well — at the very least, defenses can’t go under, giving us a really good array of 2-man actions with Tomi and Mirk again. Would be a joy to watch.
I worry a lot defensively and don’t really buy the argument that the staff can all of a sudden make him a plus defender. Andrej was great defensively situationally — typically guarding wing-like lead guards (Christian Anderson, Bennett Stirtz), but no one on last year’s roster could stay in front of the Philon/Smith/Boyd/Dent archetype. Assuming we land Vaaks, I expect another year where our offense is clearly top 3 and defense maybe peaks in the 20-30 range. IMO, that 2nd portal guard being a laterally quick defender becomes a lot more pivotal.
Good luck Mihailo. We hardly knew ye. Hopefully you find a place soon that brings out the best in your game.
Feels like we've been hearing that for 2-3 days. The timing of Wagler’s decision was not by accident.

yes and no.
I mean, their donor support is absolutely insane. If I’m not mistaken, he’s won 1 Q1A game as their HC.As I have said in the past when both that program and that coach have been questioned, Pat Kelsey at Louisville is going to be a fit and a success story.
That's the kind of coach UNC refused to consider, and they will regret it. Louisville lost the press conference but will win the war.
And if I'm not mistaken, Louisville is the largest metro area in the US where college basketball is the biggest game in town.
For a backup 4 that'a a floor spacer shooting threat, I'm really not sure that you could do better than Ben. And from what I gather that's probably even more true this year with bigs apparently being such a hot commodity.
For next year, this is the spot where I'm hoping Brad fills his annual quota of grabbing a Euro that we've never heard of that is at least playable and has multiple years of eligibility.
