Not buying the Louisville smoke. I just don’t see Blackwell going to the ACC, even if Kelsey tries to buy him away. It’s a straight up garbage conference right now and while I think Kelsey can find success there, especially with their resources, they’re not there yet.

Defense got better during the NCAA TOURNAMENT. Defense wasn't the problem, the scoring was the problem. If Illinois matched it 83 PPG in the FINAL FOUR THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN NATIONAL CHAMPIONS.
My guess to that would be two dudes: Pryce Sandfort or Christian Anderson.
You would think if the ACC, it would be Duke. But he has a chance to be part of something very special here in a scheme that would showcase his abilities to the max.
Some guys just have ‘IT’ on offense and Vaaks has a ton of it. You can teach defense as long as a guy is committed to putting in the effort. I don’t think he’s going to be best defender on the team, but I’d expect improvement over what he did at Providence

Meeting with Blackwell tomorrow…..should tell a lot. Staff still extremely confident there.
Regarding Blackwell, it feels like Illinois will match or beat any price as long as it's not ridiculous (which I trust their evaluation).
