So I can quit checking so often? It's settled?

Jakstys isn’t Big Ten caliber … Not even close … Especially for a team competing for championships …

Practice body … That’s it …

I feel the same way about Lee. He did not impress me with his minutes and often looked bad against opposing teams’ walk-ons. I just don’t see the hype with him…

ayo averaged 13.8 as a freshman on a team that went 12-21. was he not a winning player?

edit: camo beat me to it
Regardless, don't want anyone coming in that would take Jake's role and minutes and result in him leaving whether they're a winner or a loser.

I am just going to add that when you go to a final four it makes things so much easier.

We didn't get quite the five-star haul that I expected after 2005. My sense is that some Weber doubts were born then.

(I see that a bunch of others beat me to this point )

Even Jerrance Howard dragging around the anchor of Weber as his head coach dramatically improved recruiting instantaneously.

Weber 04-08 is a world historic 1-of-1 of catastrophic recruiting failure that condemned us to a decade in the wilderness.

Not a mistake we will be making again.
Can Weber be faulted for Brian Randle punching the wall and breaking his hand? Or Kendrick Nunn? Or Darius Paul? Or Jamar Smith leaving Brian Carlwell for dead? Jereme Richmond legal issues? or Cliff not signing? Leron Black stabbing a guy at canopy club? Or whatever jalyon tate did to get suspended? Eric Gordon shoe bribes?

I think revisionist history give Bruce a bad wrap. Imo if Randle didn't break his hand and disappear we would have won a Natty in 05.

My charitable take is that he seemed constrained by scruples in an unscrupulous business. Self, less so. Or so I hear.
That's why Izzo wanted him here. Less competition. No buying players.

If this indeed ends up being next season's roster, this would put us at ~58.2% minutes retained going into next year. Referencing KenPom, this would rank us at #8 out of 365 D-1 teams in minutes continuity if we applied it to this year's continuity stats. If you factor in an additional 11.2% of retainage pulled from Ty Rodgers in '24, this would bump us to ~69%, where we would be top 3 in D-1 in minutes retained.

Last season may be a bit anomalous for pulling from the portal, but depending on how the transfer portal shakes out, we should be solidly a top 10-20 school for retention if this is the 2026-2027 roster #TheRetention

Especially at the United Center. I want to see a marquis matchup there. No benefit beating teams like UIC handily, but only bad things can happen...checks notes -- 2010.

Close, competitive losses to top competition is good for team development, and wins are just a topping on cake to building out solid resume come March.

Brad's non-conference schedules during his tenure here have been nothing short of elite.
UConn is at the United Center this year

100% disagree.

If getting Dozic means we're losing any of Stojakovic, Mirkovic, Tomi, Z, or Jake -- I'd pass.

What makes you take him over Jake Davis? Somebody whose constantly proven himself as a terrific role player.

Also, Pepperdine was absolutely awful this year. They finished 9-23 and last in the WCC.
He only said Jake or Ty…relax.

We need a Humrichous replacement. If you combine them you may have one. They can’t fill that role on their own.
