I would love for us to pick up a player like Rob Wright III from BYU. I feel like we'll regret it if we don't pick up some floor generalship for this team, and I feel like he'd be perfect.
IS it too much to ask for a Friends like deal where the (remaining) Balkans agreed to come back for an equivalent payday? And since Jake was deemed to be 40% Balkan he's in for a lower amount?

Frank and Dickie gave me goosebumps rewatching those highlights.
It sounds like the meeting went great yesterday with Blackwell. UCLA is meeting with him today. His dad wants him to stay in the B1G. So it sounds like it’s going to be us or UCLA.

That's a very fair point, and I don't at all mean to denigrate Blackwell, who will be totally worthy of preseason all-conference consideration wherever he may end up.
But I do think Mirkovic is a better player, with a stronger projection bounce next year as a younger guy going frosh to soph, and beyond analytics he has a star quality that preseason accolades will gravitate to.
It was triggering to read that post just completely ignoring our Literal Final Four Team in order to make googly eyes at Current Denzel Guy. I think that's a weakness of the analysis around here, always have.
It was also a vintage trigger to have "Weber was an amazing basketball coach who was too honest and upstanding of a person and just DESERVED to have the players and success that others got" discourse back on the board, for some unimaginable reason.
The common thread there is my hackles getting raised when people insufficiently honor the importance of actual, real life, on the scoreboard WINNING. That's what I'm here for.
