What time to be a fan, each year keeps getting better and better, I remember a time, when making the tournament was a pipe dream with the talent on the roster. With waiting on retention announcements and Blackwell committing, I sure feel a whole lot better about being an fan here than some of the issues of the blue bloods right...All the faith this gets done and we just enjoy the summer!

I mean the picture seems pretty clear that Glynn wants John at his alma mater playing in the Big Ten for a coaching project he believes in, and John wants top-of-market NIL.
And over and over and over again we move along rather than pay top-of-market NIL not because we can't, but because that's not where the value is.

Long time “read only lurker” here…
I grew up in the greater Gifford Metropolitan area
, and walking up the railroad tracks to a then mostly abandoned auto auction yard, known as Gordyville, was part of my childhood. I was at “the game” in ‘79 when Eddie Johnson nailed the baseline jumper, beating Magic and Sparty, knocking off the then #1… Neil Bresnahan,(I think?), was on the cover of SI the next week, as the Illini assumed #1 rank as a result. Both Gordyville, (and the program having Natty #1 chatter), made me smile. My life has come full circus.
