What!!!??

He took 5 shots this past season, all of which (based upon memory) were dunks.
That was pretty much the case....although I have seen multiple practice videos where he is firing away from 12-25 ft. He also displayed a pretty dependable stroke in high school videos away from the rim. Of course, doing that over Mara is another story but he is not shy about shooting....if Brad wants him to do so. Yet, with all the shooters/scorers on the roster, his area of concern would not likely be to score a lot. In fact, he most likely will not see the floor next year...but that is not a certainty.

Would you prefer 3s? He didnt screw up. He played at times in meaningful games his furst two years with Tomi n othees out. Do you think Blake will, ever? You guys want to run him off?

Would I love to have Blackwell on our team? Yes, no brainer. If we miss, I'd love for us to look at a quick guard who can distribute and get in the paint. Really think we're missing that.
I think a veteran two-way combo guard would be the perfect fit to add to the backcourt rotation IF they don’t add Blackwell but retain Dre. A Boswell type guard.

A couple of days ago it sounded like a potential Blackwell announcement on Friday. Now we're hearing Andre first. Is it safe to say no announcement on Friday?

He wasn't playable in the slightest this year, so I wouldn't be so confident he will be next year. I'd classify him in the same realm as Petro if he were to return.

We will have an 8 man rotation if we miss on Blackwell:

Vaaks, Coleman, Stojakovic, Mirkovic, Tomi, Zvonimir, Jake, Morillo.

That'd be a somewhat disappointment, considering we were aiming so high with Blackwell. But more than that, it would be risky. There's zero room for injury (or someone underperforming).

However, if we DO land Blackwell, then you add a likely preseason All American. The team might be considered the title favorite.

It's a big time hit or miss.
Ethan Brown may disagree

Just to try and clear things up …

I think it’s Andrej …

Or Andrej and Blackwell …

And that’s it …

Staff really doesn’t seem to be showing any interest in anyone else right now …

Brad is not interested in pivoting or settling …
What changed in the strategy to not pivot?

Is that a bad thing? I mean guys were trying to guard him and not mop.up duty all the time. What has he done poorly? Tell me that instead of complaining? I dont recall him screwing up ever!

Agree. I’m not a fan of praising scUM in any way, but one of the things I thought Dusty May did well was managing minutes on an incredibly deep team.

Hoping Bradislav might do something similar with all the depth we’ll have. Keeps our guys:

1. more fresh
2. less injury prone…. and dare I say it…
3. more likely to hit end-of-game FT’s 🫣
Kids dont get tired...... /s

I'm hoping for Jalen Cox if Blackwell doesn't come here.
Probably in the minority -- this wouldn't exactly make sense to me. Vaaks is a primary ball handler; so is Cox. In that case, would rather give those starting reps to Coleman and look for somebody off the bench.

Of all the names brought up here, I think McNeil is the only Blackwell consolation that truly makes sense.
