Alright … Here’s what I’ve got …
Sounds like we’re going to be throwing in a Zen today … Devlopment piece … Brad really likes the kid … Needs to get with Fletch and we’ll see if he can carve out a role down the road …
Now … What the people are here for …
Andrej … It’s never been in doubt … I’ve said on here many times it’s never been in doubt … Continue to hear that he will be back … Very soon …
Blackwell … Get him on campus (which they are planing on) … Everyone will be here … It will be an all out pursuit to sell the vision … Sell winning it all … Sell that while you may not score 20, you will show NBA teams that you can do it all and be a part of winning … That’s his role in the league … You can be the legacy kid that comes here and wins it all … And you can be an All American and your jersey will hang … The sell is there … The staff has been told, do not let money get in the way here … The money Louisville is throwing around is INSANE … But we are still pursuing … That should tell everyone how serious we are as a program …
The question becomes - Does Blackwell see the fit and does he think he can accomplish what he wants here ? We’re going to find out …
I have heard to expect a little more transition with the roster … I won’t name names but with that guard rotation … Minutes are going to be tough to come by …
I have also been told expect Brad and staff to stealth hunt for some front court depth … They think a little more depth there wouldn’t hurt … And McNeil’s camp says Illinois very much still an option for him … He’s taking the recruiting process slower than most and evaluating his options … He’s reportedly not in too big of a rush … But if the right offer comes then he would pursue it …

It’s so nice to not have to sweat a decision like Blackwell’s anymore. Just shows how far this program has come.
The way I see it, we are the championship favorite with him and Stojakovic, we are a championship contender with only Stojakovic. What a time to be an Illini fan.

I want to point out that it was 6:40-ish on the Pacific Coast when you published this. Props. Mad props for dedication.
Maybe it’s the wording and order (and the sprinkle of optimism) that has me thinking this, but surely the post isn’t implying we get McNeil irrespective of Blackwell, right? It would have to be an either or situation and not a both, with who we already have coming in.
