Yep, guessing Lee and *maybe* Jakstys. I would imagine the freshmen stick around to see what the following season's lineup looks like.
Indy mentioned guards so he isnt referencing Jason.

How long do we give Blackwell so we dont lose Mcneil?

I am in full-on "whatever" mode when it comes to roster fluctuation now. Brad has shown an amazing ability to adapt and pivot, and the fan base and university have shown we are going to step up to compete with the Big Boys.

I certainly want AS and JB to join in, and I'll be disappointed if neither do, because they are perfect pieces for this roster. But, also, whatever. On to the next chapter. Good players want to join Illinois.

For those that are supposedly in the know why the delay in Andrej‘s decision?

Just like every year, I am very Zen. Love the roller coaster ride, and enjoy it for what it is. Then when the dust settles, root like a maniac for the team we have.
And really is not that big of a roller coaster anymore. This program is getting "A-list" talent no matter what. Those ups and downs are just the names going back and forth of those A-listers. Petty smooth ride imo.

I have not had any anxiety for quite some time over the recruiting season.

Absolutely, but their coach can't coach talent like our coach!!
I wouldn't overlook Pat Kelsey at Louisville. He's won at a lot of levels, had a great season in 24-25 in his last, and how they are supercharging their basketball NIL, because they see an opening with Kentucky floundering. It'll be Louisville and Duke atop the ACC next year. What they can't sell is a recent history of deep tournament runs, but for a guy who took Winthrop, Charleston and now Louisville to multiple tournaments, he wins. They'll be a second weekend NCAA tournament team next year, and then it's a matter of can they make that next jump with their expensive roster.

They are like 4th or 5th in the ACC resource wise based on what I’ve been told teams have …
Their insane expenditures so far paired with "UNC can't hang with us financially" in theory should calm the volunteer cryptographers for like....15 minutes. You're doing yeoman work lowering the Xanax needs of some on this board.

Our “volunteer cryptographers” are up early today reinterpreting the insider messaging.

INSIDERS: All is fine with Vaaks and Coleman

CRYPTOGRAPHERS: All is fine. Does that mean it won’t be fine in the near future???

INSIDERS: Relax, I see good things happening today.

CRYPTOGRAPHERS: Today??? Oh crap… Tomorrow’s gonna be bad, isn’t it?!?!
I stick with reading the entrails of roadkill. It's more reliable.

If B Lee leaves not even a natty would cheer my depression
I dont like it when bench guys leave but i dont sweat it either. It seems what we bring in to replace our bench gets better each season. Thats one reason guys leave.

Also, it may not be Lee. I mean Blake F is a guard that is buried on the bench.

To be extremely clear …

I don’t anticipate anyone that is in line to play meaningful minutes leaving …

I expect Andrej back … Very soon …

All focus goes to Blackwell after that …

Everyone relax … Throw in a Zen …

😎
Nice and thanks for the insight and updates!

As long as he wants. He's getting a visit set up and McNeil sounds patient to see where things fall so they'll be plenty of time to burn that bridge when we come to it with Loyalty anxiety post Blackwell decision.

As much time as he possibly needs …

I don’t think the situation is miss out on Blackwell and immediately pivot … We’ve got other pieces already … It would have to be a pretty perfect fit …
Exactly. The Illini are in a position of strength when it comes to the quality of the roster to date. There is absolutely no reason to jeopardize getting the last piece of a national title contender to simply make the team marginally better at best.

If Andrej comes back for his last year, will Peja start wearing Illini merch to games? 🤔
Peja have any eligibility left? Can ball out for 5 to 7 minutes as our backup 4.
