If our $$ is comparable (which every insider has claimed it is )there is just no comparison between rosters even if they get 2 more huge transfers. Player/coach continuity can't be touched by any of the other suitors LETS GET THIS DONE!!!!
I hope we don't get to the point where we have no meaningful returning roster players like Louisville, I mean they are buying an entire new team of players = not ideal regardless of who. Gotta develop from within to make it sustainable.

I guess this also silences all the Brad naysayers who said he couldn’t retain talent.
I don't think it was ever a matter of "couldn't", it just hasn't seemed to be something he values in recent years.

And yet, he kept trading up. He was right.

I'm glad he sees this scenario as different, and obviously that the players do as well. What this group has is special.

This is 100% a team that could get the same kind of national love as the '05 team.

I can't imagine not wanting to be a part of it.

Come on JB!! You are already FamILLy!! 🧡 💪
Yeah the preseason ranking will be high but is almost beside the point. In an era when nobody knows who is on what team until February anymore, we are going to be the toast of next season from the very beginning, this being a well-known and fun and unique team with championship expectations.

Gotta be ready to manage that spotlight.

We returned next to nobody in 23, 24 and 25. It worked, but it's a carousel I am glad to get off.

The difference is that when people were saying that about Brad, he was 4-7 at Illinois and had made a second weekend at another school. Pat Kelsey has had enough opportunity to prove it in my eyes.

I will say that not having his best player in the tournament this year was a bummer. But the expectations for the season were not met… again
Personally I am not mad with a coach who makes the tournament in his first 2 years. Pat has never made the 2nd weekend but he was in mid majors before. I would give him 4 years at Louisville to prove that.

This. I am excited for the pieces falling into place, and with how fun this team will be is beyond imaginable. But I hope we do a lot of work this summer training some poise and mental fortitude because expectations will be HIGH. We can 100% reach them, but we need to reach that natty ceiling. Brad has given me no concerns that he can't do this though of course.
