I feel like Iowa has had a horrible offseason...

I'm a big Banks fan. not sure on his elgibility though.

Andrej coming back is huge. Now focus on Blackwell. I do hope that if he doesn't join that we still look to add a top end talent. We have a rare opportunity with so many returning players to win it all, let's not "settle" for Final Four.

Either way great season ahead

I think both Coleman/Morillo will be big time contributors. Outside of another top level portal guard, very good possibility one or two would be better than a lesser portal guard.

I mean Wagler is a lotto pick and Boswell at least brought the defense when he was motivated. I think losing both those guys still makes the team a bit worse. I mean they were #5 in Kenpom last year that is a high bar to maintain. Returning guys is great but you still lost the best player from that group.

Now if they get Blackwell I think they would be better. A more complete team than this year. If they don’t, you will still have similar questions as this year when it comes to athleticism and defense

I can't wait until this career 9 ppg guard I've never heard of turns into a 20 ppg killer who torches Illinois for 30+ multiple times next season.

Well, at least we won't have to hear the naysayers talking about a mass exodus this offseason. Prayers for great health for all the players as well! A summer of more connectivity will make us so good. Maybe the last few years we let certain players hit the portal cause they just weren't the right fit after all. Blackwell could make this team CRAZY good. Let's Go, I-L-L

If we get Blackwell are we done for the offseason? If so who steps into the back up 4 role? Or is it just going to be the combo of Mirk, Z, and T?

Plus continue to defend and shoot 35% from three then easily first round draft pick next year.

No doubt there will be heated arguments that include about 6 posters about who will start and who will play how many minutes. And you can bet your life, one of the guys on the roster now will be guaranteed to redshirt...and then become an Illini legend for hitting a winning shot against (?). Ring me up in Nov.

But wait!!! There is more to come? Anyone know where that refresh button is on a Chromebook? Asking for a friend.

Werner implied Z could be the backup 4 and 5, considering how much Tomi and Mirk will be on the floor.

You might be right but I guess it depends on the depth of draft next year. TSJ ended up 27 like the 2nd best player in the country. I hope Drej ends up 1st round but I am not certain even if he shoots 35 3pt%.
