Watched him and Mannie Jackson play even when they were high school stars at Edwardsville High School and later as teammates at Illinois. At the time they played for Illinois, Illinois had very little height and as they were both good jumpers and rebounders, they were often playing against bigger players on the inside.I invoke the sacred name of the great....(drum roll)

Almost 20,000 likes. My Gawd, our fan base is amazing!
The only thing I can think of as potential skillset needs would be a guy who keeps the ball on a string to break the press, and a board banging small forward to give Mirk a rest.Us as a fan base should know better than to discount our unheralded freshmen. Maybe Brown and Davis (and possibly Zens) will get some time too

Vaaks is going to be the on ball, ball handler in a similar role to Wagler. We need a true SG to play with him, not a ball dominant PG.Why not?
Vaaks is a shooter, I don’t think Cox would make sense with a non-shooting point guard.
