Quite the opportunity young Mr. Coleman has walked into.
Not sure anyone is in the "shoot me now" camp. More like we are in the "who wants a shot now!" camp.
Not many better out there at keeping their mouth closed until they have solid intel so this isn’t by any means an attack against Werner but we’ve been on the other side of this coin (I.e. having guys locked up silently and losing them).
I’ll still hold out hope for Blackwell, but I understand both why he doesn’t make total sense and why he’s probably too expensive to try and pull all the stops out for.
FWIW I bet if we didn’t land Coleman we’d full court press Blackwell. I expect a good year from Coleman.
Ditto that. My first game IIRC was Skip Thoren, Bogie Redman, Tal Brodie, Don Freeman, Jim Dawson.
All the Blackwell is not coming here smoke I’m seeing on X and online to me is nonsense. Our insiders have been spot on this offseason. And most of them still believe we are in the lead or have a good shot to land Blackwell. I’ll trust their word and insight over the online pundits who don’t really have a clue.

We don’t lose nearly a much as with the 89 and 05 teams. Each of those lost three starters and didn’t replace them with anyone close: 89 lost Nick Anderson, Kenny Battle and Lowell Hamilton and 05 lost Luther Head, Deron Williams and Roger Powell.
This team loses two but Andrej is essentially a starter and Z would start on many other teams. 89 would have had a better shot if Deon Thomas didn’t have to sit out. Marcus Liberty was kind a like Andrej not a starter the full year, but played like one.

This is not true. Boswell was never a true PG in his college career. It was the whole reason for bringing in Petro in the first place (which turned out a bust; and Wagler was the hit).

So what’s the thoughts on where Ty lands? Personally I’m hoping he goes down a level and gets guaranteed minutes next season, then hits the portal for a big school next year. Really don’t want to see him in the big ten, I’d like to cheer for him all next year.

Maybe things reached the unfortunate stage of Blackwells agent going back and forth between schools with ‘I now have a higher offer of X …will you beat it?.’ I guess that’s his right…but at some point Underwood has to say, ‘You have my final offer…where do you want to play?’
