Illinois Hoops Recruiting Thread

This is my first cottage cheese post, so I feel like I'm finally part of the famILLy...😎

But for those of you who like adding fruit or sweetness to your cottage cheese, try applesauce...it's great.
Maple syrup (the real stuff) also is great.

So I've only ever eaten cottage cheese by itself with no add ins. Am I really missing out?

Kept waiting to see how he passes off a drive. The one pass that was shown was ok, but not spectacular. (Obviously, the fact that the reel only shows shooting doesn't mean he doesn't ALSO have the vision and ability to pass well.)
If you want to recall (fondly) what the Illini is losing in Keaton Wagler, go to you tube and watch the clip "how good is Keaton Wagler actually?"
Its a revelation of what we're replacing from this year's team. Warms my heart to watch it again; but its a lot of game content that a bunch of players will have to step up to. Unless that happens, next year's team will not be as good as this year's.

Truly a unicorn.

The staff seems to feel good about the current roster with the 14 players we have now. Even if they feel good about the guard rotation of Vaaks at PG, Coleman at SG and Morillo and Lee being able to contribute, they must realize we’re thin in the front court. Big T, Big Z and Mirk are great but if there is a foul fest or if someone gets hurt heaven forbid, I don’t think anyone is comfortable going with Morillo or Jake at the PF for extended minutes- so IMO, the four spot should be where they use the last roster spot.

Allen Graves seems to be what you would create in a lab to be the backup for Mirk. He only started 4 games for Santa Clara as a freshman so he might not demand a large role this year. He had 2.8 offensive rebounds in 22.6 mpg last year which is a crazy high rate. Shot 41% from three on 2.6 attempts per game and somehow got 2 steals per game which means he’s in the passing lanes a lot. Seems to be just what the doctor ordered- a stretch four that can rebound at a high rate and attack the offensive glass

Love ya 0440 and maybe (hopefully) Brad will make him use said lateral quickness but there is a legit shot he was the worst defender in the country last year if you watch the tape its so bad. Keaton is also a way better defender than people think.
He will be much improved defensively next year, or Brad and Cam will kill him. 😂

I have been catching up on the posts. Did I miss something? Seems as if McNeil is or was option number one after Blackwell. Indy wrote last Friday, "And McNeil’s camp says Illinois very much still an option for him … He’s taking the recruiting process slower than most and evaluating his options … He’s reportedly not in too big a rush … But if the right offer comes, then he would pursue it …” I took that he is just patiently waiting for the Blackwell decision. And maybe the Illinois staff as well, that is, waiting and then pivoting to McNeil? Maybe I am interpreting it wrong. It just seemed that once the “news” broke that Illinois is probably not getting Blackwell, there were many posts, but few talked about this.
