Considering all of TheRetention, I’m most surprised by Z’s return. Though I’m thankful and excited to have him back, he’s one that could have portaled and easily landed a starting role somewhere else. Maybe he viewed IL as best place to further develop…or BU assured him of more tic…or maybe we matched any outside money. Quite possibly it was all of those.

Or…maybe the love between these two brothers is simply more than we realize and they just prefer to stay close vs going their separate ways. Regardless, it’s nice to see them stick together, and wherever this leads, whether NBA or a return to Europe, they’re gonna have an amazing family story to tell their kids and grandkids some day. Meanwhile we’re honored to have their family a part of ours!

On John Blackwell, I wonder if the games played against Illinois is still in his mind. I would think it would be hard to lay that aside, especially since it got kinda heated with Boyd's antics. As a fan, I would hate to see Fears in an Illinois uniform because of this.
