Also as someone else said, injuries happen and no program can “injury-proof” their roster through having guys who could start on another high major team and earn a million dollars in NIL come here to play 7 minutes and earn 150k (or whatever the 9th man makes).
Wow, a poster that makes claims based on the real world and common sense.

There is no question that there have been dozens (or more) of posts claiming that we cannot accomplish anything without more elitely talented players. So, who are those players? Who is going to sit rather that play? Or are those elite talents going to sit and play 7 min. for 150,000 rather than take much bigger offers to actually play...even if it is not for a team with FF vision?

The fact is that the best bet at the moment is to get a European player or a possible gift from a player withdrawing from the draft.

It seems there are a lot more Euros that fit the big man backup role than guards. My curiousity focuses more on which way the staff goes and how good that backup player actually is on both ends. It will be a tough find, and it will not be based on the approval of any poster here.

Stooooppp.....give it a rest.

You couldn't sit, without a roster in front of you, and tell me who the 8th and 9th man are on ANY roster in the country.

In the national championship game, Michigan's # 8 was Will Tschetter and nobody else played. UCONN'S 8th and 9th men just transferred. Arizona's #9 played exactly 1 minute in the Final Four.

If ANY team loses a starter and has to dig down to #9..... it'll be an issue. I don't care what program you want to talk about.
Well said north Carolina last season was a perfect example any team that loses a starter or star from there rotation is going to hurt. Michigan lucked out last season with there depth there injuries nobody that far down the bench should be relied on to replace a starter and said team not lose something. I think Brad is doing it right with the youth as depth because what starter would want to go to any team to be the 8th or 9th guy and any transfer thats willing come here to be a 8th or 9th guy looking at 10 minutes a game. I think the freshman would and could have more potential then potential transfers for those spots.Brad has shown he can scout and identify talent in the lower ranked players trust in daddy Brad my friends

uuuuuuh. yes? we do want the guy who came back to CU from a FF level school, who is a good defender, versatile, and sacrificed playing time and usage to make room for others on his team (including an unexpectedly transcendent freshman talent) to succeed and thrive. final answer.

My Doc had to increase my meds in order for me to sift thru the lunacy of late
If Z gets hurt who over 6'8" n 245 is backing up T n Mirk? We dont have that...Hell, folks got on Ben last year and we dont have anyone after Z thats proven at all at the 4/5.

People misread stats. Petro averaged 5.9 minutes per game for 19 games for a total of 110 minutes. Over the 37 games the team played that's an average of 2.97 minutes.

Jakstys averaged 5.3 minutes for only 5 games for a total of 48 minutes.

To get a true number one would need to take the total minutes played in 37 games including overtime and do a % of minutes played of available minutes.
You mean like what Torvik shows?

akin to War & Peace, I'd go with he's got it going on:
Great looking prospect. Beautiful looking shot. Nice looking passes in that highlight real. One concern: on every one of the drives in that highlight he is heavily favoring his right handed dribble drive and the right handed finish. At the next level, teams will have scouted this, and will undoubtedly be overplaying that side. He's going to need to prove that he can finish and drive strong to the left, which probably means he's going to have to work some more on his left handed dribble drive and finish.

Ok, so I'm not crazy in saying this place has gotten significantly crazier this off-season?

Every offseason is crazy, but this one has seemed like the majority has forgot about the Groce/Weber dark years and thinks guys will come for the privilege to sit on our bench.
